Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery | Streaming on Netflix
Rian Johnson makes a perfect sequel here by bringing a familiar central element of the original (Daniel Craig returning as Benoit Blanc) and retaining the tone which made the original work so well, yet taking things in a whole new direction. The film is consistently entertaining from its first frame through to the last and it contains on-the-nose cultural references, an exceptional ensemble cast, a brilliant mystery with a twist and an overall sense of fun. Brilliantly written, directed and acted. Absolute movie magic at its best, and after two viewings already, my favourite film of 2022. I had the joy of being at the world premiere in Toronto in September and the European premiere in London in October. — Col
