Best feature films that include scenes on railways, railroads, or railway stations. The list includes a brief description of the railway scene, together with the location where the scene was shot. It also includes at least one film for every year from 1936 onwards, and films from as many of the countries of the world as possible.

1. The 39 Steps (1935)

Based on a Richard Hannay spy story by John Buchan, and contains a classic scene of a train crossing the Forth Rail Bridge, Scotland. This bridge is now a World Heritage Site, and there are plans to provide it with a Visitor Centre. See also the 1959 remake of the same title.
