Editors' Picks: Our Favorite Things From the Week of Nov. 268 of 12
Epic TV Series Crossover of the Week
The CW's Arrowverse aired its first crossover back in Season 3 of "Arrow," introducing Barry Allen and kicking off "The Flash." Since then, characters have traveled back and forth between the cities, worlds, and alternate universes that make up "The Flash," "Arrow," "Legends of Tomorrow," and "Supergirl." This year's four-show crossover, "Crisis on Earth-X," was the most ambitious and entertaining to date, surpassing 2016's "Invasion!" in character count, humor, battles, and story scope. For the first time, it didn't feel like the characters were hopping between show to show. But instead, producers created a four-part, series-agnostic, megamovie that brought key characters together from the start, then pitted them against a truly formidable enemy, alternate Earth and Nazi versions of themselves. We won't get into spoiler territory, but there were many moments of true surprise as "Crisis on Earth-X" resurrected fan favorites and characters long missed. Even if you don't watch every show in the Arrowverse, these four episodes are not to be missed.
