What makes a movie my favorite? Well I'm not quite sure but the two things I've weighed the most in my consideration are initial impact and re-watch-ability. That doesn't mean all these films have both. Some of the most impactful first watches I've had have given me my fill of those films or become less and less fun. And some of the films that feel like home now were movies that took me several rewatches to warm up to. But most are movies that I can watch anytime and as many times as I want and still enjoy or feel like time well spent.

Didn't come away from this with a good taste at first. There was plenty to like and love about it but left that first time feeling beatdown. The epilogue is hopeful but it wasn't enough to recover from the mass destruction. Eventually rewatched and put more thought into it and came away digging the ending. I think the lesser emotional investment on rewatch compared to first watch is what did the trick. All that action in the second half is overwhelming the first time.
