My Award Winner Picks: Game of the Year

by The_Lord_ZXV | created - 21 Oct 2013 | updated - 4 months ago | Public

There has to be 3-5 contenders. It might be easy pick, or difficult pick, but there has to be competition.

Good Year: When true masterpiece has been released. Game that might be one of the best games ever made. Or when 3 or more great games have been released.

Great Year: When several masterpieces have been released (more than two).

Collections like Spyro Reignited Trilogy (2018), Devil May Cry (2012), Kingdom Hearts 1,5+2,5 (2013 & 2014) and Sly Trilogy (2010) do not count as whole (one could cut it) and neither do remasters if I have played original and/or there is nothing new (remakes are fair game). Ninja Gaiden Sigma (2007) & Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (2009) are remakes but I have not played originals, so they are not out. All of these still do count on Good-Great Year count.

For example: Spyro Reignited Trilogy is masterpiece, if not legendary one. Those games still are very much like original ones, even with modernized controls are more attention detail, when it comes to story.
