Benedict Cumberbatch this, Benedict that...yes he is a good MODERN incarnation of Sherlock, but Jeremy Brett was beautifully eccentric in his role as the formidable detective. Not only such a brilliant actor, but a beautifully executed script with genuine intriguing, slow-burning mystery (in victorian London no less). Bi Polar Brett was a method actor who took on the role of acting like Sherlock Holmes full time.
