Allison Schroeder
Allison Schroeder is an American screenwriter who is nominated in the Best Adapted Screenplay category for co-writing Hidden Figures. Schroeder, who gave up working in finance to go to film school, admits that this was the perfect project for her because she'd previously interned at NASA for five years her, her father and grandmother also worked there, and she’d grown up in Cape Canaveral. Schroeder is also responsible for co-writing the screenplay for Mean Girls 2, the follow-up to the cult classic Mean Girls. Before launching her screenwriting career, Schroeder was a production assistant on TV's Superman series Smallville as well as the stoner comedy Pineapple Express.
