I don't have time to watch that many films, and I've been thoroughly disappointed with many of the films I'm "supposed to" like, especially older films. Film history and criticism should stay separate from films suggested for enjoyment.
This is a trail left for kindred movie watchers. If you generally like the movies I've listed, you might like others I suggest. I've only listed films that I can recall and will probably watch again. There are some movies like "The Deer Hunter" that I recall being good but which haven't left enough of an imprint on me and I'm in no hurry to watch again.
