The new movie Why Him? (2016) features a couple made up of Zoey Deutch (age 22) and James Franco (age 38). It seems that increasingly egregious age differences between an older man and a younger love interest are coming back in vogue. In the summer of 2015, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, at age 37, was told she was too old to play the lover of a 55-year-old man.
