Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius
Danish-born Mads Mikkelsen was a professional dancer for almost a decade before he started his career in acting. He landed his first breakout role as a sympathetic drug dealer in the 1996 Nicolas Winding Refn thriller Pusher, a film that helped launch both his and Refn’s careers. After gaining fame in Denmark with the popular police TV drama "Unit 1" and further collaborations with Refn (Bleeder, Pusher II), Mikkelsen received international recognition in 2004 as the knight Tristan in Antoine Fuqua's King Arthur (alongside future "Hannibal" co-star Hugh Dancy, who played Galahad) and then as famed bond villain Le Chiffre in Casino Royale.
In 2013, Mikkelsen took on the role of another iconic villain, serial killer Hannibal Lecter in the ground-breaking series "Hannibal." Mikkelsen rounds out 2016 with starring roles in Doctor Strange and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
