Edgar Wright's Top 10 Car Chases in Movies9 of 10
2. Bullitt (1968)
"Bullitt is one of the granddaddy’s. It’s probably the first really big car chase in a movie. Something where the car chase really takes over. The car chase as a sequence really came into its own with Bullitt. It’s the first film that made use of those San Francisco streets. The San Francisco hills and Bullitt are synonymous to me. The first thing I think of when I see those hills are Steve McQueen’s Mustang tearing around those corners."
