The much anticipated adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s cult classic "American Gods" finally makes its way to television, as reimagined by "Pushing Daisies" and "Hannibal" creator Bryan Fuller and Logan and Blade Runner: 2049 writer Michael Green.
In prison for three years for attempting to rob a casino, Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) is given an early release when his wife is killed in a car accident. As he makes his way home to a life he no longer recognizes, he crosses paths with a man named Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) who offers him a job as his bodyguard. With nothing to lose, Shadow embarks on this journey, unaware that Wednesday is on a mission to gather the Old Gods to confront the New Gods – who are also on a mission to bring Shadow to their side.
