The Last of Us: Fan Casting

Joel- Hugh Jackman would be a wired choice for Joel but his acting in 'Prisoners' might sway me if he was chosen to play the role. Plus, along with me, everyone love Hugh Jackman. I hope his busy schedule won't interfere with him being possibly cast.

Joel- Jon Hamm is done with Mad Men and his recent stint in rehab just ended. Jon and his cold demeanour on Mad Men and his addiction to alcoholism, he knows that suffering within himself, much like Joel. He wouldn't be a hugh fan fav for the role but I think he would do a great job.

Ellie- Ellie is extremely hard to decide who to play her and I "secretly" hope they cast an unknown actress. So if I had to choose who to pick, my first choice would Kaitlyn Dever. Her roles in "Justified' and 'Short Term 12' show that she can really act and can bring the stoic but witty Ellie to the big screen.

Ellie- If their picking an actress the same age as Ellie, I think she's around that age now and this would be the best option. Also her role in Interstellar shows her talents that I did not know existed before I made this list.

Ellie- A young star on the rise after her role in Tomorrowland. Like Foy, her age will be suitable for the role.

Ellie- If I were to pick someone solely on talent alone the breathtaking actress Sophie Nélisse would the obvious choice in my eyes. The more I think about her playing the role of Ellie, the more I hope it happens.

David- Now for the Main Antagonist of the game in my opinion, John not only looks like David but has the superb acting skills to play the deranged role of David.

David- Michael to me looks like the ultimate "baddy" in any film, so why not this. Michael is a terrific actor and can bring any spin he wants to this character.

David- Paul will bring the disturbing side of David, along with his own take to see the character in a new light.

Tommy- James is a underrated actor and his talents would suit the role of Tommy.

Tommy- Lot of similarities on appearance but much younger in age, Michiel has the acting talents to pull of a slightly younger Tommy in the film.

Tommy- Nikolaj is who my personal pick to play Tommy and based on his brotherly scenes with Peter Dinklage on 'Game of Thrones', that should be enough to show he's perfect for the role.

Tess- A lot younger then in the game, the up and coming Mackenzie Davis would bring a fresher take on Tess.

Tess - I did not know who Annie Wersching was until I watched Bosch. Wow, what a underrated actress. I think she should return to reprise the role of Tess.

Tess- If I were to pick someone to play Tess like the one in the game, Lena would be a dead on impression of Her; a major compliment on her acting. …. Now pregnant and doubt her being considered at all.

Marlene- Sonequa wasn't on my radar for the role of Marlene until her role as Sasha on The Walking Dead started changing into a sad but determined character. If cast, she would be the right choice in a unexpected way.

Marlene- I find Marlene to be difficult to cast, as it needs to be the right actress to bring that twisting deceitful role of Marlene. Anyhow, Nicole does resemble her and her acting seems like she can pull it off.

Marlene- Gugu will be something different in ones eyes to play Marlene but her acting is truly note-worthy from the work I've seen of hers. This will be a long shot as she is sought after at the moment.

Bill- Along with his appearance, his acting would blow me away as the role of Bill.

Bill- He's the one I imagined while playing the game. He's big, he's got the hair and he looks like the right age to play Bill.

Bill- Or we change it up and have Jeffrey play Bill and let him bring something different to the role, while not forgetting who Bill is.

Henry- From the amazing 'Short Term 12', Lakeith will be an A list talent. Why not start him in his. Henry plays an important part in Joel and Ellie's journey both physically and emotionally that Lakeith can surely deliver.

Sam- Henry's brother and for the same reasons above, Skylan can pull of this role. He was great in 'The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete' and that is why I picked Skylan.

Maria- A little younger then on the game but I like Amy as an actress and I think she would do a good job as Tommy's wife.

Robert- Minus the similarities, he would bring more to the character then what was shown in the the game, even in the short time he's in it and he awesome in GoT.

James- Its a small part in the game but it can be a slightly bigger role in the film. I wanted someone younger to show how far one can fall, no matter the age.

Sarah- She was the voice and did the motion capture of this character, why not have her play this small part in the film.

Writer- He did write the game and should write the film with the help of another writer, preferably Matt Reeves.

James/Robert- The man that brought Joel alive should have a small role in the film. The role of James or Robert would suffice.

Director- Based on his work on 'The Road', I think he would be a wise choice to direct, and my personal favourite to be chosen.

Director- When Ex-Machina come out, he will be sought after and I hope he is available when find the man to make the film.

Director- He has already done a post-apocaylptic film in The Rover. He's a alright director, he has his own way in making his films that may or may not work if he made the film.

Director- If you haven't seen The Babadook, watch it. What a great film. She is great a making you feel scared when theres nothing to be scared of. Many won't know who she is but what a hidden gem as a director.

Director- His first film as director was Nightcrawler and what a great first time doing it. I doubt he would be chosen but I have hope.

Joel- My personal pick but the most unlikely to star; as he's doing the 'Assassins Creed' movie already.

From what I've seen mostly everybody wants Josh Brolin to play Joel but I personally think its a bad idea. I like Josh Brolin, I enjoy Josh Brolins work but I just don't see his acting style to work for this type of role

Joel- My second favorite actor behind the man above, if the brilliant Joel Edgerton played the role of Joel and would not make me feel disappointed. His acting in 'Warrior' made me feel his pain and misfortune and I think he can do that again in this film.

Ellie- Based on her role in 'Homeland' I think she has the potential to play a role like Ellie but she is getting older and this might be long-shot in being chosen.

Tess- This was challenge to decide the right actresses to play Tess as she's an important character in the beginning of the game. I think if they made her a much larger part in the film, the outstanding Rosamund Pike would get the job done.

Director/Writer- If he helped Neil write to make it more suitable for screen and he directed, this would be an enjoyable film.

Director- He's done Blood Diamond and The Last Samurai, because of that he would be awesome if he directed.
