Mean Streets is a film I've studied since I first discovered it in film school. There are countless ways the film has influenced me over the years. There's a great scene where Michael (Richard Romanus) has a meeting under the FDR in Lower Manhattan. We paid homage to that scene with a similar moment under the FDR in our fifth episode where Wass Stevens's character Latucci meets up with a mafioso named Moose, played by Stephen Badalamenti.
