The Wire - Season 5 Review

Whilst this wasn't the show's strongest season, it was nonetheless an amazing season to end a truly masterful show. The whole fake serial killer arc was a little far-fetched and a little out of character for McNulty and co., however, the way it was tied into the Stanfield investigation and incorporated into the bigger picture was really clever and redeemed itself completely. The final three episodes were really great and the ending to Late Editions was the show's most moving moment - Michael going on to become a young Omar of sorts a great end to his character arc. The finale was perfect and of course the world keeps spinning as people rise and fall.
