He is sent off world with all of the dragons by Aproxis, after disapproving of Avellan’s violence.

Athena

A slave of Aproxis for ten years, she is freed by Luna at the beginning of the book. She has a romantic relationship with Luna. She is attacked on a ferry due to her being a half breed.

She loses her mind and eventually gains clarity and reconnects with Luna. She is devestated by Luna’s death and slips back into insanity for the remainder of her long life.

Queen Dante of the Marvallian Isles

Dante leads the Marvallian Islands which is under constant attack due to their progressive views on co-existence.

She joins the final battle for coexistence, convincing Darius to fight with her and make a permanent alliance between the two countries. She unfortunately is killed in the battle, dying in her daughters arms

Darius

Living freely in Igeria he faces racial segregation. In the end he returns as emperor of the Kingdom of Darkness following Aproxis and Luna’s death, with a new outlook on life and working closely toward coexistence with Queen Cyronia

Luna

Luna is working with mortals leading the front to overthrow her brother. She represents Martin Luther King, organizing peaceful protests to encourage coexistence.

She is publicly assassinated by Larty McGuff.

The Goblin Queen

She is killed early on by Luthor who gets revenge for when she ordered the death of the goblin family.

Lilas Cartyr

A half alien child who was adopted by Auron. He is recruited to war to stop foreign invaders like the mutants due to what happened to his brother.

In the end he becomes the King of Bridalbane and rules with his mother by his side. He defends coexistence in the final battle.

Luthor Cartyr

A half alien child who was adopted by Auron. He is recruited to war to stop foreign invaders like the mutants due to what happened to his brother.

He is murdered by Aproxis along with Auron.

Queen Priscilla Mahima of Arcadia

Having fought for seven years to unite her country following the death of her parents, Priscilla has just recently regained control of Arcadia. The arrival of mutants in her kingdom makes her people uncomfortable and puts her in place to make a tough decision for the best of her kingdom.

She eventually supports coexistence in the end and her people join the battle against the Anti-Mutant movement. She spends the rest of her life leading Arcadia and advocating for mutant-mortal peace.

King Daniel Ferdinhand

Loving husband to Amethyst and a soldier at heart. He dies in the final battle, protecting Amethyst. It is later discovered that Amethyst is carrying his child.

Amber Florne

She is living her life educating young children in Bridalbane. Secretly she is moonlighting as a prominent leader in the anti-mutant movement, blaming them for Alexis’s death.

She goes on the run with Lilas and forms a strong bond with him. In the end they agree to start a new life together leading Bridalbane with her son.

The Great Prophet

The leader of the faith and the main person organizing the anti-mutant movement. He claims that mutants and magic stands against the purity that Sesua stands for. He has now gathered control of the entire continent of Osakima, making him even more powerful than before.

He is killed by Homer and Orleanna when the merfolk attack the faith. This triggers Thai to become the new Great Prophet.

Queen Chia Macguff

The queen of Carasinia. She is killed by Aproxis on a mission with the Anti-Mutant movement, triggering Larty to become even more ruthless and viscious then before.

King Larty MacGuff

The king of Carasinia. He is a hardcore anti-mutant and has been organizing crimes against the Marvallian Islands.

He is one of the last leaders fighting back against coexistence. He is eventually sentenced to death in the end when the laws pass worldwide and given a public execution by guillotine.

Prince Oscar “Ozzy” Mahima

The prince of Arcadia and 11 year old son of Priscilla and her father, Oscar.

He becomes a master shaman under Reina.

Queen Orleanna Riveria

The queen of the merfolk and the newly thriving kingdom of Alannea. She leads the battle of Alannea to take back Osakima. She survives at the end and lives happily with Homer.

King Raymond Cortez

The king of the Lands United. He disapproves of his daughter dating a mutant and makes policies against mutants in his country, to his daughter’s disapproval.

He is known to have been the one who coordinated with Helena to get Amethyst’s weapons to the terrorists. Amethyst orders his assassination and Daniel fights him and twelve tigers and eventually kills him, only because his wrists are wounded.

Princess Illyria Cortez

The young daughter of Raymond and a prostitute. She is the heir to his throne. She has a star crossed love with a lizard mutant named Sez.

She weds Sez and ushers in a new era when Raymond dies and she takes the throne of the Lands United with him.

Sez

A leading lizard soldier in Aproxis’ army and his second in command. He has fallen in love with Illyria Cortez. And pledges to marry her when mutants and mortals have those rights. He asks her to run away to the Marvallian Islands with him.

He weds Illyria and his marriage ushers him in as the first mutant king of Lands United following Raymond’s death.

Shaman Reina Mahima

Reina doubles as the queen of Oasis and the leader of a group of children training to be shamans. She fights actively to promote cooperation between mortals and mutants.

She delivers a powerful speech to push coexistence everywhere and endorses Luna’s claim to the throne. In the end she is assassinated by extremists.

Homer Sunback

Homer works closely as Orleanna’s right hand man. He works to rebuild the kingdom of Alannea.

He helps fight for Osakima and eventually has an awkward reunion with Reina. He survives until the end

Waciphone (voice)

A beautiful gold dragon who serves Avellan.

She leaves to another planet with Satul and the other dragons and the help of Aproxis, out of disgust for Avellan.

Helena

The sister of Athena and slave of Amethyst. Amethyst uses her as leverage to manipulate Luna.

She turns out to be the traitor who sold Craetorian technology to the anti-mutant movement. Daniel assassinates her on orders from Amethyst.

Montgomery McToth/The Creator

A strange and quirky man. He comes out of the woodwork approaching Amber and Avellan, claiming to be Alexis’s last remaining family but something is off about him.

He works with Amethyst, Reina, Lilas and Dante to ban the use of Craetorian technology, saying it will lead to their demise. In the end it is discovered that Amethyst had hidden her blueprints and Thai steals them.

King Pontius Ramirez

The Great-uncle of the previous king and a devout follower of the faith. He rules both Rano Di Balo and Vese, it’s territory.

He supports the Anti-Mutant movement and is killed in a battle between Amethyst’s army and his country. Amethyst then takes over the entire Lost Continent

The leader of the vampires and a close ally of Dante

Thai

The assassin advisor to the Great Prophet. He murders Auron and hunts down the renegade Amber and Lilas.

Endgame: He becomes the new prophet upon the death of the old one at the end of the novel.

The Leader of the Kingdom of Darkness. He represents Malcolm X and wants to stand up to prejudice with violence.

Endgame: Amber assassinates him, exposing him for his plotting and violence. When he dies, darkness is lifted from the kingdom.

Cyronia

The half-elven advisor to Dante. She is loyal and shows signs of having the shaman bloodline. She takes Dante’s half-elven child under her wing. She becomes the queen of the Marvallian Islands in the end after Dante’s death.

Endgame: Becomes a fierce queen of the Marvallian Islands for years to come

Princess Shiazauri Mahima

The half-eleven year old daughter of Kenji and Dante. She has been kept a secret by Dante. She is the heir to both the Marvallian Islands and Oasis, prompting an alliance between the two kingdoms when Reina meets her. She becomes the queen of Oasis following Reina’s assassination.

Endgame: Rules as youngest queen of Oasis with Hashish as her close advisor. Seems to have a romance with Ozzy.

Madame Tornell/Shaman Tornell

An older woman living in the Obsidius Penninsula, who Reina finds with the shaman bloodline. She specializes in helping people see their past lives and shows Reina a glimpse of her next life. She is a pirate and a fortuneteller, traveling the world selling goods. She claims to not even remember what country she came from.

Endgame: Becomes a shaman. Predicts the faith will fall in 3,000 years time. People will become blinded by the big lie of the Kiran Texts.

Fryella Hyu

A princess who is a distant relative of Chancelor Hyu. She is the heir to the throne of Shenjio & Omasu but has been living as a mermaid for 40 years. She gets the merfolk involved in the mutant-mortal war when she asks Orleanna and Homer to help her take her throne from the Great Prophet

Endgame: She reclaims Shenjio and Omasu and makes them land paradises for the merfolk. She ends the book declaring war against Thai and Cornithia.

Mahima Nomad

A traveler from the first royal family who murdered Aproxis’ mother.

Daniall

A vampire who gave birth to Aproxis and his siblings. She was murdered 2,000 years ago by the Mahima nomads.

Queen Amethyst Montel-Ferdinhand of Antedeluvia

Amethyst works with her husband Daniel to support independence for the Kingdom of Darkness and the co-existing of mortals and mutants.

She leads the final battle for the coexistence movement alongside Luna and abandons her weapons, but secretly saves her plans. In the end her and Daniel produce a son, effectively ushering in a new generation of Montel. Amethyst remarks that the child will have Daniel’s good heart and not follow the mistakes of her ancestors.

Endgame: Bans Craetorian weapons but secretly saves her plans. Gives birth to a son, who she names after Daniel and says that he has his fathers heart.

King Sudan Mahima

He is discovered to be kept hostage by Sez under orders of Darius. Aproxis had been keeping him as leverage. He tried to rescue and save his wife seven years prior and was murdered by Sez.

Endgame: A monument in his honor is placed beside Kenji’s and a national holiday is made to honor both of them.

Queen Hashish Mahima

She is discovered to be kept hostage by Sez under orders of Darius. Aproxis is currently keeping her as leverage. She watched her husband die. She is rescued by Reina.

Endgame: Becomes the advisor to Shiazauri and changes her views on mutants when she learns she has an elf granddaughter

King Auther Easting

The lead general of the Igerian army who has became king of Igeria after the War for Life. He has a good heart and tries to do the best thing. He is of Bridalbane descent and is the paternal uncle to Harmony. He has PTSD from the war against Echo. His sister in law was Harmony’s mother and was married to Kinneth’s son who died in the Battle of Oasis. This is why he was Kinneth’s general and inherited Igeria.

Endgame: Happily rules Igeria with his lover for years to come.

Shaman Asuriyo

A young monk in training with shaman bloodline found by Reina and Ozzy.

Endgame: Becomes a new shaman.

Gregir McGuff

Larty’s cousin and advisor, who takes over in the end following his death.

Saddlebrooke Cartyr

The cousin of Auron and advisor/secret lover to King Auther. Amethyst spies on them and finds them in bed and vows to expose them as homosexual, which is illegal in Igeria, unless they support her in taking back Antedeluvia. He also is a transvestite who walks the streets at night dressed as a woman. Amethyst and Daniel save him from being beaten to death when some thugs discover him.

While he is the advisor, he is the brains of the operation and makes most of the decisions for Auther. They are friends since childhood.

Master Avellan Creyada

The queen of Cordelia. Due to Alexis’s death and her friendship with Amber, she does not support coexistence and her country is extremely prejudice against mutants.

She is killed by Amber when she tries to take her life in the final war.
