March Picks: The Movies and TV You Can't Miss12 of 22
Cherry | Premieres in Theaters on Friday, Feb. 26 and Exclusively on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 12
Plot: When Cherry returns home from Afghanistan a war hero, he battles the demons of undiagnosed PTSD and addiction. Turning to bank robbery to fuel his drug use, Cherry's action threaten to shatter his relationship with his one true love, Emily.
Our Take: We’ve seen what a Justin Timberlake movie can do to boost Apple TV+ viewership (JT's Palmer recently became the most-streamed movie on the service), so you have to think that the current Spider-Man working with his Avengers directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, will get more eyes on this addiction drama, which looks to mimic the cinematic style that the Russos helped bring to Extraction. It's a bold step outside the MCU for Holland, and a boost for his co-star, Ciara Bravo, who is coming off Hulu’s massive hit series, "A Teacher." — Arno
