Can You Guess the Mystery Guest?

by penchofifteenpolls | created - 6 months ago | updated - 5 months ago | Public

What's My Line? (1950) was a famous game-show hosted by John Daly, where celebrity panelists were challenged to determine the occupation of the contestants. It also had a section with a mystery guest, where panelists had to identify the identity of a celebrity while blindfolded. In both sections the panel asked questions that could be answered yes or no, and the questioning could continue for a given time or until the panel got 10 negative answers.

What's My Line? became one of the most successful game shows in history, it inspired many similar versions around the world, it won several Emmys and Golden Globes and in its run of 17 years it became the longest running game-show in U.S. primetime television. After getting cancelled in 1967 it was immediately followed by a syndicated daily production that ran until 1975.

During its original run of 876 episodes, hundreds of celebrities participated in What's My Line?, and several of them were mystery guests more than once.

If you had been a What's My Line? panelist, Which of these mystery guests would have been harder for you to discover?
