Back in Theaters: The Best Movies to See This Summer30 of 35
CODA | In Theaters and on Apple TV Plus on Friday, Aug. 13
Sian Heder's film about a Child of Deaf Adults navigating life as the only hearing person in her family kicked off Sundance 2021, and the response was pure delight. The funny, feel-good family drama starring Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God), Emilia Jones ("Locke & Key"), and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (Sing Street) made us laugh and cry, and went on to sell to Apple Studios for a record-breaking $25 million. Definitely worth the price of an Apple TV Plus subscription, if you ask us.
