May Picks: The Movies and TV You Can't Miss21 of 22
Emergency | Premieres on Prime Video on Sunday, May 27
Plot: Ready for a night of legendary partying, three college students must weigh the pros and cons of calling the police when faced with an unexpected situation.
Our Take: In a twist on the "one final night to party with friends" genre this comedy-thriller out of Sundance follows a trio of college friends who have to decide whether or not to call the police when they find an unconscious girl in their house. The setup is reminiscent of films like Booksmart or Superbad, but adds equal parts thriller and social commentary, resulting in a hilarious, tense, and moving film by director Carey Williams (based on his short film). — James
