Those pesky Deadites are back in a brand new film in the Evil Dead franchise. After some back-and-forth over whether this new film would be a continuation of the original series or a sequel to the 2013 reboot, producer and creator Sam Raimi picked director Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground) to write and direct a completely new film, unconnected to the previous films. Evil Dead Rise is a fresh take on the franchise, as two sisters discover the Book of the Dead in the older sibling's Los Angeles apartment building.
