Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City | In Theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 24
Plot: Set in 1998, this origin story explores the secrets of the mysterious Spencer Mansion and the ill-fated Raccoon City.
Our Take: If you've stuck with six films worth of Resident Evil's zombie mayhem, you kind of want more of the same without it being more of the same, ya know? Enter: the franchise reboot! Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City says goodbye to Alice (thank you, Milla Jovovich, for your service), and taps back into its video game roots with characters from the early games, including Kaya Scodelario (badass in 2019's Crawl) and Robbie Amell ("Upload") as Claire and Chris Redfield, and Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine. — James
