Did You Know?

Personal Quote:

Not many of us have the names or identities we were born with. I don't associate Frances Gumm with me-she's a girl I can read about the way other people do. You think, can this be me they're talking about? ... See more »

Trivia:

She initially refused to appear in Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) because was tired of playing virginal teenage characters. She later relented after much persuasion. She met Vincente Minnelli on set, and her performance was also one of her most famous during her MGM years. See more »
