With Thunderbolts*/*The New Avengers serving as something of a comeback for Marvel Studios, all eyes are now on The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The characters have better brand recognition than the Thunderbolts, but they're also best known to moviegoers for starring in three consecutive duds.

The odds are already stacked against the reboot as it has to share July with Jurassic World Rebirth, Superman, and Smurfs. Excitement among fans does appear to be high, though, and more promo art has surfaced as the promotional tie-ins begin.

This latest wave highlights Marvel's First Family; Mister Fantastic strikes a pose not dissimilar to that classic Chris Samnee comic book cover (he's even making a "4" with his hand), and the Invisible Woman shows off one of her force fields.

The character was said to be closely modeled on Ineson and that's something the previous Lego sets and Funko Pops have lacked. However, the new promo art shows that Galan of Taa-an will definitely have facial characters that resemble Ineson.

We got a first look at Funko's initial wave of POPs for The Fantastic Four: First Steps (beware of spoilers for one particular character below) earlier today, and thanks to some new images, we now have a glimpse of the 6-inch Galactus Pop.

Aside from a couple of obscured shots in the trailers and some blurry promo art, we have yet to get a proper look at this first comic-accurate (he did appear as a cloud in Fox's Fantastic Four sequel) take on the Devourer of Worlds, who will be played/voiced by Ralph Ineson.

Though this Pop is obviously not the most detailed representation of how the powerful villain will be depicted in the movie, it does give us our best look yet at the finer points of the costume and overall character design.

"I’m not someone who knows the whole lore of Marvel," Ineson admitted during a 2024 interview.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest big-screen feature, Thunderbolts*, tells the tale of the titular former villains trying to overcome their past traumas, with the Void spaces reminding them of their most painful memories ad nauseam. Funko has officially unveiled its first wave of The Fantastic Four: First Steps POPs, and in keeping with the company's tradition of revealing spoilers for upcoming movies, these plastic Fantastics confirm that a certain character will make their MCU debut in the reboot.

A new "Silence Your Cell Phones" PSA is currently playing in theaters, and it sees the loveable robot briefly warn audiences, "You know better." However, that's subtitled, and his speaking voice is a series of computer noises; is this indicative of what we'll see in the movie itself?

If so, this promises to be a very unique voiceover role for General Grievous actor Matthew Wood.

Marvel Studios has shared five new character posters for The Fantastic Four: First Steps in the style of retro trading cards (back when they used to come with a free stick of gum).

The artwork spotlights Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, aka the Thing.

We also get a new look at H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot, whose voice actor - if he even has one - has not been disclosed.

This year's most unlikely team of superheroes have arrived on the silver screen but it won't be long until another iconic team makes its presence felt on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thunderbolts* has arrived in movie theaters around the world and it promises to be one heck of a fun time, setting the stage for the next chapter of the franchise - a more positive one, hopefully - by being a good old-fashioned standalone thriller of a superhero movie.

Thunderbolts* has been receiving a litany of extremely positive reviews, with some calling it one of the best Marvel movies ever made. It's a win that the Marvel Studios franchise needed after a number of misses throughout the past few years and it has set the standard very high for what is going to be a string of major consecutive releases over the next few years.

With Avengers: Doomsday filming underway in the U.K., more tidbits emerge about the main players in the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster. The latest sneak peek centers around The Fantastic Four: First Stepsstar Pedro Pascal, giving fans an up-close look at the book he's reading after getting back into the Mister Fantastic suit in the Avengers sequel.

Via Cosmic Marvel on X (formerly Twitter), Pascal shared set photos via his Instagram Stories, including one of himself reading the book The Gender of Sound by Anne Carson while in costume, highlighting a part of the book which may or may not tease Doomsday's events. The blue color of his Mister Fantastic suit can also be seen, though it doesn't reveal much. Pascal's appearance in the film was previously confirmed as part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal event.

That’s interrupted by a call to deal with a crew of bank robbers in an Atv, who’ve left a trail of dead lawmen in their wake. He manages to kill three of them, but the leader, former Ira operative turned killer for hire Declan McBride, makes it to Mexico.

That’s where British Intelligence, in the form of Agent Jennifer Smith, enters the picture. The Mexican authorities have arrested McBride, but won’t officially hand him over to the US or the UK.

The next season of The Bear just got a major update from its showrunner. It’s been nearly a year since The Bear Season 3 premiered all 10 episodes of Season 3 on Hulu, and while it finished as the lowest-rated season of the series according to Rotten Tomatoes, that didn’t stop FX and Hulu from swiftly moving forward with Season 4. News on the fourth season has been quiet for a while now, but showrunner Joanna Calo recently delivered the update fans have been waiting for. Calo caught up with Omelete on the red carpet for Thunderbolts*, and she confirmed that the show will debut on Hulu on June 15. Calo wrote the script for Thunderbolts* along with Marvel veteran Eric Pearson.

The stills spotlight two of the most enduring and iconic couples in comic book history, with Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) having a laugh with Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) before their fateful space mission, and the Man of Steel (David Corenswet) sharing a moment with Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan).

With The Fantastic Four: First Steps set to arrive in theaters less than three months from today, more merchandise from the reboot continues to find its way online.

We've already got a cool new look at Marvel's First Family today, and now a Lego set has fully revealed the McU's Galactus. The villain is in brick form, but this still ranks among the best shots we've seen of the world-eating baddie.

Lego has found some fun ways to portray the team's powers, though we're a little surprised that there's no Silver Surfer Minifigure. While we know better than to think sets like these offer any definitive idea of what we'll see on screen, could this be an indication that the heroes will fight Galactus at some point?

We'd say it's likely, and a recent plot leak shed new light on what role Galactus and the Silver Surfer will play in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to walk into a new world as it gets the comic book treatment before its anticipated big-screen release. The comic tie-in includes many nuances about Marvel's first family, including confirmation of where the story picks up the heroic quartet.

According to Deadline, the First Steps comic, which Marvel announced on Apr. 25, reveals the starting timeline for The Fantastic Four in the opening Phase Six Marvel Cinematic Universe film. The report claims the one-shot "confirms a few things that fans have speculated about, including that The Fantastic Four: First Steps is not an origin story, but will pick up four years after they become heroes." Though it's been known that First Steps isn't an origin story, the fact that the film picks up four years after The Fantastic Four's members gained their powers confirms that they're a full-fledged superhero team when the movie opens.

While all eyes are on Thunderbolts* ahead of its release in theaters next weekend, we know that many of you are far more excited to see Marvel's First Family in action later this summer.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps has a lot riding on it; not only does it lead directly into Avengers: Doomsday, but this team has struggled to make an impact on screen in the past. This movie will also need to contend with competition from Jurassic World Rebirth and Superman.

When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, it meant Marvel Studios regained the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises.

Deadline brings word that Marvel Studios and Marvel Comics are teaming up for a Fantastic Four: First Steps one-shot, which will be released in stores on July 2. This marks the first time the studio has worked with the publisher on a comic set in the world of a specific MCU movie.

To clarify, while we've had various prequels and tie-ins before (the most recent was for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man), this comic would be available to buy in the reality that the team hails from.

Fantastic Four comic book writer Matt Fraction (Hawkeye) and artist Mark Buckingham (Fables) are teaming up on the comic, which is published by the "Future Foundation."

This in-universe artefact was created hand-in-hand with Marvel Comics and The Fantastic Four: First Steps' creative team. Production Designer Kasra Farahani was heavily involved, while Fraction was among those who visited the movie's set.

Last year, we got confirmation that The Fantastic Four: First Steps will introduce a female take on Marvel Comics' classic space-faring hero, the Silver Surfer - but not the version of the character fans are most familiar with.

Emmy Award-winner Julia Garner will play the movie's Surfer, but not a gender-switched take on Norrin Radd. Garner will actually take on the role of Shalla-Bal.

In the original Marvel Comics continuity, Shalla-Bal was the Empress of the planet Zenn-La, and was the first love of Norrin Radd. When Galactus came to devour their planet, Radd volunteered to become his herald in exchange for sparing Zenn-La. Later, when Franklin Richards took over as the new Galactus, he imbued Shalla with the same cosmic powers and allowed her to serve as a twin herald alongside Radd.

The seventeen-year-old dark comedy Burn After Reading, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, will soon hit a major streaming platform. The movie debuted in 2008 to critical acclaim and box office success.

Audiences will now have the opportunity to revisit or discover Burn After Reading when it hits Netflix on May 1. Written, produced, and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, the movie follows two dimwitted gym employees, Chad Feldheimer (Pitt) and Linda Litzke (Frances McDormand), who find the misplaced memoirs of a recently jobless CIA analyst, Osborne Cox (John Malkovich).

Believing the memoirs to be classified government documents, the pair attempt to profit from them, resulting in a series of misadventures along the way. As part of the film's ensemble, Clooney plays the womanizing U.S. Marshal Harry Pfarrer, who is having an affair with Cox's wife, portrayed by Tilda Swinton. J. K. Simmons and Richard Jenkins are also featured in the film.

The latest series from streamer Apple TV+ will star two of Hollywood’s brightest up-and-coming talents. Per Deadline, Will Sharpehas created and will star in Prodigies for Apple TV+. Ayo Edebiri, who is known for the animated series’ Big Mouth and Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well as FX’s The Bear, will co-star with Sharpe.

Prodigies is billed as a romantic comedy with Sharpe and Edebiri starring as two former child prodigies who have been together since they were children. Marvel Studios has only revealed a few exciting glimpses of The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Galactus, but the villain has finally been revealed (in low-res) thanks to some new promo art. 

The gigantic baddie looks like he's stepped straight out of the pages of the comic books, and we can just about make out Ralph Ineson's likeness. His armour looks a little Celestian in nature, though it's hard to pick out the finer details given the poor quality of the image. 

It's still a little hard to believe that we're getting a comic-accurate Galactus, especially after Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer infamously transformed him into a dust cloud back in 2007 (even though the movie featured a perfect take on the Surfer). 

Also of note is a new look at the Baxter Building. As you can see, it's emblazoned with the "4" logo and promises to dominate the skyline...
