Chris Rock Calls Oscars ‘F*cking A**holes’ for Snubbing Adam Sandler

Chris Rock Calls Oscars ‘F*cking A**holes’ for Snubbing Adam Sandler
Chris Rock is calling out the Academy Awards once again, but this time, it’s for snubbing his longtime pal Adam Sandler.

Rock, who was slapped by Best Actor winner Will Smith during the 2022 Oscars and subsequently turned down hosting this year’s ceremony, slammed the Academy for overlooking Sandler’s robust filmography during the ceremony for the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

“I’ve known this guy for 30 years,” Rock said of Sandler. “The Oscars, you know, they’re fucking assholes. And if they don’t want to give my man his props, we will tonight.”

Rock called his former “SNL” co-star “one of the greatest of all time.”

Sandler was poised to receive a Best Actor Oscar nomination for 2019 film “Uncut Gems.” His acclaimed past work also includes “Punch-Drunk Love,” which “TÁR” writer-director Todd Field recently called one of the best onscreen performances ever. Sandler has never

Chris Rock disses Oscars at Adam Sandler ‘Mark Twain Prize’ event

Chris Rock disses Oscars at Adam Sandler ‘Mark Twain Prize’ event
Chris Rock may have turned down an invitation to present at the 95th annual Academy Awards earlier this month, but there was no way he was missing this.

On Sunday, he appeared in Washington, D.C. at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate his old buddy Adam Sandler. The star of “Billy Madison,” “Uncut Gems,” and the forthcoming “Murder Mystery 2” was being fêted as this year’s recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Rock came out and, upon seeing Paul Pelosi, referenced the bond the two shared—being physically attacked. Whereas the 82-year-old San Francisco businessman (and husband of former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi) was nearly killed by a deranged lunatic, Rock was merely whapped across the face by Will Smith.

Anyway, Rock discussed how when he first encountered Sandler he was set up to dislike him. Sandler had

Tyler James Williams Says ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ Producer Told Him He’d ‘Probably Never Work Again’
Tyler James Williams, who landed the lead role in “Everybody Hates Chris” at age 12 in 2005, revealed in a new interview that a producer on the series told him he’d “probably never work again” after the series, which was based on Chris Rock’s teen years.

Williams, who won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy for playing Gregory Eddie on ABC hit “Abbott Elementary,” told GQ that an unnamed producer once said to him, “I’ll never see you as anything else and you’ll probably never work again.”

The now 30-year-old actor recalled, “I was like, ‘Holy s—t you really just looked at me and said that.'” Although he thinks the producer probably meant it as a joke, the comment still stung.

Tyler James Williams Has Been Pretty Quiet About His Past Romances - But He's Definitely Single Now
Tyler James Williams struggles with relationships as Gregory Eddie on "Abbott Elementary" - and it sounds like the actor also has a bit of trouble with romance in the real world. "[The fame] makes it hard to be seen," he told GQ in a March 22 interview, saying that his notoriety has made it hard to move past surface-level connections. "I've also never gotten a chance to introduce myself to anybody," he continued. "There's something that's really cool about when I look at people and I'm like, 'Damn, y'all met and she ain't know nothing about you. You just were able to give her who you are right now.'"

Williams has been in the spotlight for a while, starring as Chris Rock on "Everybody Hates Chris" beginning in 2005. He also starred as Cyrus DeBarge in Disney Channel's "Let it Shine," played Noah on "The Walking Dead," and currently stars on "Abbott Elementary

‘He’s having a good time’: Succession actor’s interview interrupted by Brian Cox ‘screaming’ at photographers
Life imitated art at the Succession premiere when Brian Cox was heard screaming at photographers while one of his co-stars was being interviewed.

Cox plays the irascible patriarch Logan Roy in the acclaimed HBO drama and is known for his character’s curt catchphrase: “F*** off.”

Deadline’s interview with Fisher Stevens – who plays Waystar Royco adviser Hugo Baker in the series – was interrupted by Cox’s unmistakable tones.

“You can hear Brian screaming; Brian is, um, still mad,” Stevens says in the interview.

“That’s Brian screaming,” he adds. “He’s having a good time. He’s enjoying his final premiere of the show. Sorry, that was interesting. I wonder who he’s screaming at?”

The actor says he believes Cox will have been joking with someone: “And he’s not serious. He’s not real. He’s having fun. He’s Logan! He can do whatever the f*** he wants.

Eva Longoria’s Young and the Restless co-star says her remarks about daytime TV are ‘derogatory’
The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden said his former co-star Eva Longoria’s recent comments about soap operas were “derogatory”.

On a recent appearance on CNN’s Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace?, Longoria was taken down memory lane and shown an old clip of her performance on the American soap opera, on which she played Isabella Braña from 2001 to 2003.

Following the interview, Braeden, who has led the show since 1980 as Victor Newman, interpreted Longoria’s embarrassment about her breakout role as “denigrating” to daytime actors.

Eva Longoria: you just made derogatory remarks about daytime actors! You simply weren’t good enough to survive the pressures of this medium!” the 81-year-old German-born actor tweeted.

“Our actresses would run rings around you!! And they did then!! From Robert De Niro to whoever they all are, many of them started in the medium,” Braeden added, calling Longoria out for

Adam Sandler Saved David Spade From Chris Farley's Fists On The Set Of Saturday Night Live

Adam Sandler Saved David Spade From Chris Farley's Fists On The Set Of Saturday Night Live
David Spade and Chris Farley only made two films together as co-leads. In 1995, they appeared in Peter Segal's "Tommy Boy" and in 1996, they starred in Penelope Spheeris' "Black Sheep." They also both appeared in the movie "Coneheads," although they had no scenes together, and were part of a generation of comedians who started on "Saturday Night Live" in 1990. This generation, often called "The Bad Boys of SNL," included future stars like Adam Sandler, Tim Meadows, Chris Rock, and Rob Schneider. The group frequently worked together both on the show and in feature films, and some of them still collaborate to this day.

Farley, rather tragically, passed away in 1997 at the age of 33 due to a drug overdose. There was every reason to believe that, had he survived, Farley's career would have continued to progress, evolve, and include more dramatic work. Of the "Bad Boys," Farley seemed to have the greatest comedic chemistry with Spade,

Chris Rock compares indicting Donald Trump to arresting Tupac Shakur: ‘He’s just going to sell more records’
Chris Rock has joked that arresting former US President Donald Trump would strengthen his social status.

While on stage at a Sunday (19 March) event honouring Adam Sandler with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humour, Rock took a moment to crack a few gags about the ongoing political drama in the US.

“Are you really going to arrest Trump?” the comedian asked – per multiple US media reports – before joking that doing so is “like arresting Tupac. He’s just going to sell more records.”

Rock then suggested that indicting and apprehending the former president “is only going to make him more popular”, according to The Guardian’s David Smith.

Trump is currently facing several legal investigations into his conduct before and during his presidency, including his alleged use of campaign finances to pay for an adult film star’s silence, with whom he allegedly had an affair. Trump has denied

According to D’Acampo, his hand was forced by scheduling conflicts caused by production, which has caused “complications”.
