Phoebe’s Proposal Scene Made One Big Friends Problem Even Worse

Phoebe’s Proposal Scene Made One Big Friends Problem Even Worse
Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) double-proposal scene in Friends season 9 makes one of the show's main problems even worse. Since its 2004 finale, Friends has remained a pop-culture staple and a go-to feel-good show for people across the globe. As he shows it to Chandler, he squints and asks, "Isn't an engagement ring supposed to have a diamond?" It turns out it does, but it's tiny, as David could not afford a ring with a big diamond. "Being a failed scientist doesn't pay quite as well as you might think,

Chinese fans of the hit comedy series Friends are calling out the censorship of multiple episodes, specifically ones featuring LGBTQ content.

Reuters reports multiple streamers including Tencent, Youku, and Bilibili, among others, began streaming episodes from Season 1 on Friday when fans noticed moments from the American version had been edited out.

One moment in particular where Ross (David Schwimmer) shares his wife is a lesbian was deleted. Another where Joey (Matt LeBlanc) suggests going to a strip club, via Tencent Video, says instead they should go out to play.

The fans’ outcry via social media sites like Weibo is also being limited. The hashtag #Friendshasbeencensored has been buried and currently yields no results, according to the report.

The China Communist Party censors media heavily for content that is not in line with national interest. Some of the reasons for censorship include belittling cultural traditions, undermining religious policy, and endangerment of social morality,

All 10 ‘Friends’ Thanksgiving episodes ranked worst to best [Photos]
I had not yet seen an episode of the new comedy “Friends” when I happened upon it in November, 1994. “The One Where Underdog Gets Away” had me laughing harder than I expected, and I never missed an episode from then on. I’ve seen each one multiple times as my teenaged children are now fans as well.

Whereas many sitcoms have included Halloween and Christmas episodes, with many becoming known for these specials, “Friends” found a special niche in the often overlooked Thanksgiving holiday. In the first season, various circumstances led to the friends celebrating their first Thanksgiving with each other instead of their families, and it became a tradition which led to some of the most memorable moments of the series, including some of the best guest appearances, some of the funniest gags and a couple of the most heartwarming moments of the series.
