Beauty is something that has generally been a curse to women. Those who are not considered beautiful have to face all kinds of biases, but even those who are considered beautiful have to face bias and insults. In fact, you would not believe that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the most beautiful woman, has been subjected to the same bias.
Being beautiful, at times, comes along with a certain set of preconceived notions. In fact, one might have come across pretty girls as dumb lines. Remember the songs that tag beauty with nakhre? Right from Gore rang pe itna gumaan kar to more.
Often beautiful women are been character shamed, slut shamed and beauty shamed. They are misjudged as proud, have attitude problems, and more. It was once that even Hrithik Roshan misjudged Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her beauty.

Sanjay Dutt & John Abraham Were Offered The Lead Roles In Baahubali! (Picture Credit: Instagram & IMDb)
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali, is a part of history. The film made Prabhas a superstar overnight, and Baahuabali became synonymous with the actor. Similarly, the other actors from the film turned superstars. Be it Sathyaraj who played Katappa and the entire nation wanted to know Katappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara or be it Ramya Krishnan as Rajmata who roared Mera Vachan Hi Hai Mera Shasan.
The film that was made in two parts took a lot of time to be made, and all the actors committed to the long schedules, sacrificing many months of their careers and lives. However, this commitment was something that not everyone could fulfill.

Abhishek Bachchan & Hrithik Roshan Had A Brave Box Office Battle (Photo Credit – YouTube/IMDb)
The year 2000 saw two-star kids stepping into the industry to make their mark. The former was an actor turned filmmaker, while the latter was the son of the most powerful couple in the industry back then. Hrithik Roshan, son of Rakesh Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan – son of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, two stalwarts of the industry.
While Hrithik’s debut was not such a buzz initially, Abhishek’s stardom was hysterical even before his debut. When he started shooting for Refugee, the crowd used to gather at the shooting venue just to have a glimpse of ‘Amitabh Bachchan ka ladka.’
He could witness the hysteria and experience the pressure. Both the star kids made their debut a few months apart. While Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was released in January, Refugee dropped in June. However, the...

However, when it comes to comparison with the first seven days of other releases, which may have arrived on a traditional Friday or a day or two before, the biggie is now next only to War and Krissh 3.
In fact, yet another film of Hrithik with Siddharth Anand, Bang Bang, too, finds a place in the top 4, with only Krrish 3 being with another director, Rakesh Roshan.
It has all been in the family for Hrithik Roshan as Kaabil, which was a home production as well for the actor, is in the top 10, whereas the film which has moved out of the list, Kites, too was produced by his dad.

Hrithik Roshan & Deepika Padukone’s Fighter Has Leaked Online ( Photo Credit – Viacom18 Studios / YouTube )

The war drama helmed by Siddharth Anand leaked online on the first day of release and is available for download in HD print. These pirated versions are available on various torrents and websites.
Will Fighter Leak Affect Fighter Box Office Collection?
However, while the entire film has leaked in HD quality, the box office collection of the film might not be impacted by this. In 2023, all the box office blockbusters were leaked online on the day of their release, but trends suggest that the much-aware audiences decided to go against piracy and watch the film in the theaters.

Interestingly, Knph was initially offered to Shah Rukh Khan, who could not do the film, and Rakesh Roshan was advised to launch Hrithik with the film. But little did Srk know that he created a box office monster at that very moment.

Deepika Padukone & Hrithik Roshan Came Too Close To Be Paired Together Thrice Before Fighter! ( Photo Credit – Viacom18 Studios / YouTube )
Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan have been making people go Omfg with their chemistry in Fighter, and this raised the only obvious question no one had asked before: Why didn’t someone cast them together? Well, it took Bollywood 16 years and a Siddharth Anand to do that job? Like really?
Well, no, that is not the entire truth. After Deepika Padukone made her grand debut with Om Shanti Om in 2007, it took her quite some time to reach the top, and then, one day, she turned a Bhansali muse, and the world saw her in a different light.
As soon as Dp presented her Leela avatar from Ram-Leela looking like a goddess, Bollywood filmmakers were too keen to cast her with the Greek God. The first one to hatch this pair was,...

Tiger 3 Box Office Collection: Salman Khan Achieves An Unbeatable Record With His Threequel ( Photo Credit – YouTube; IMDb )
Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 has surrendered almost, and while the film currently stands at 282.08 crore, it seems impossible to touch the 300 crore mark with Animal’s arrival. However, despite a number so underwhelming, Bhaijaan has achieved a unique record that might have gone unnoticed.
As the Tiger threequel stands at 282.08 crore, it has surpassed the highest-grossing threequel of Bollywood – Dhoom 3! The film, starring Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Katrina Kaif, collected 280.25 crores at the box office.
Surpassing this number, Tiger 3 has now become the highest-grossing threequel. Interestingly, the Tiger franchise is also the highest-grossing franchise in Hindi, beating SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. Currently, the Tiger franchise stands at 819.08 crore.

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas talked about how she was warned away from doing female-centric films when working in Hindi cinema, as well as her ambitions to expand her portfolio in the U.S., in a conversation with fellow Indian actress Bhumi Pednekar at Mumbai Film Festival today.
In a relaxed master class that focused on the craft of acting, Chopra Jonas explained that she was advised not to take on one of her early films, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion (2008), in which she starred as a small-town girl who becomes a super-model.
“I signed on for the film right after Krrish, and was told that actresses only do female-oriented projects at the end of their careers so they can win a National Award,” said Chopra Jonas, who moved into acting after winning the Miss World beauty pageant in 2000. “Back then there were not many female-centric movies.”

Documentary filmmaker Anupam Sharma, who has directed the docu ‘Brand Bollywood Down Under’, has said that the need to make the film originated from the urge of celebrating Hindi mainstream cinema in all its glory.
Stating his reasons for creating the documentary, he said, “There is a need for a documentary for every aspect of Australia and Bollywood. There is a need for a global documentary on Bollywood or popular Indian cinema. There is a need for a documentary on Australia and India film links from trade, film, political and social points of views.”
“Everyone was apologising for Bollywood, sheepishly being embarrassed, and scared of ridicule. I hated that. Hindi popular cinema no matter what you call it Bollywood, mainstream, popular, is deeper in form and content and ‘seriously entertaining’ and needed to be celebrated.
As Anupam Kher says in our film, ‘We make 1.4 billion people happy. We do sell misery of life,...

Looks like there are attempts by vested interests to bring the fans wars over stars on to the streets. One knows the kind of groups that get into prolonged arguments on X for the star they favour, or are appointed by, or paid occasionally. They also abuse and run down other stars. All they need to do is toe the line their star master has assigned to them.
Okay, so you have been given a task to propagate a star and be more vehement when his film is due, and you are doing your job. Because you believe in your star, or are a part of his promotion team, or just because you have been paid for the job. Just like some so-called critics and influencers are.
But why extend your brief and get into a war of words, mostly foul words, with the lot doing the same thing? You...

Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who was recently seen in the Nikhil Mahajan-directorial ‘I Love You’, has spoken about her upcoming sci-fi film ‘Ayalaan’, which she went on to call a ‘once in a lifetime experience’.
‘Ayalaan’, which is directed by Tamil filmmaker R Ravi Kumar is a sci-fi-extraterrestrial-comedy film which employs a great deal of VFX and high-quality CGI. While using CGI in Indian films is nothing new, having a movie with more than 4,500 CGI shots is a new one.
Talking about the film, the actress said: “Oh, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Because there is an extraterrestrial in the picture, and you know there isn’t one when you’re shooting, but you’re assuming there is. You must shoot it in such a way that people believe the film has an actual alien.”
“You’re reacting to a prop, you’re reacting to nothing, and you have to do it convincingly.

Singer Asha Bhosle, who carved out her own independent niche and ruled the roost over the world of music, turns a ripe old 90 on Friday, and notwithstanding a long and eventful musical journey of eight decades, neither her vocal cords are tired nor has she retired…
It was back way, some 80 years ago, when a petite 10-year-old girl Asha Mangeshkar earnestly stood before a studio microphone and recorded her first playback song for composer Datta S. Davjekar, ‘Chala Chala Nav Bal…’ for a Marathi film (‘Majha Bal’ – 1943).
Though it came just a year after her father Pt. Deenanath Mangeshkar’s passing (1942), Asha’s maiden number did not exactly set the film industry on fire but she continued to get humdrum singing assignments, and like her older sibling Lata Mangeshkar, continued the uphill musical sojourn.
After many Marathi songs, she finally landed a Hind film song assignment for ‘Chunariya’ (1948), and then...

As we gear up for the 20th anniversary of Rakesh Roshan’s iconic film Koi… Mil Gaya, Hrithik Roshan, who essayed the lead role of Rohit, reveals to IMDb how his own childhood experiences aided him in essaying the role.
Speaking of his portrayal of Rohit, Hrithik revealed, “I took a lot from my childhood. I was bullied. My cycle was broken. Although this was a scooter in the film, mine was a cycle – a cycle I loved. I used to be crazy about cycling and stunts. I had a BMX bike, and some big boys broke it. It was heartbreaking.”
“So I had already lived some of those sequences, but the one thing I had that made the character is that I played him mentally challenged but without self-sympathy. I had a lot of anger, and I added that. I added anger, and I added stubbornness, and I added dignity.

It has been two decades since the release of ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’. Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan envisioned as a ‘solo’ movie, however, he said that it turned out to be “India’s first superhero franchise.” The sci-fi film featuring an alien was released in 2003. However, it was not the first sci-fi film made in India.
Nisar Ahmed Ansari’s directorial ‘Wahan Ke Log’ is a 1967 Hindi science fiction film, which starred Pradeep Kumar, Tanuja, Johnny Walker. One of the earliest sci-fi films made in India, it tells the story of a supposed martial threat on India by aliens from outer space intending to rob the rich of their diamonds.
Starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Rekha, ‘Koi…Mil Gaya’ and the superhero film ‘Krrish’ franchise stand to be the first multi-genre story franchise that carries forward characters and storyline from its preceding parts.
On how he envisioned the entire idea?

Before Roshan arrived at the festival venue, extra security was drafted in as the audience queue spiraled two floors. When Roshan finally arrived, he was mobbed by the crowd. The reaction was unsurprising. Despite Hollywood visitors like Spike Lee and Antonio Banderas, the biggest names at Red Sea were the stars from India’s Bollywood industry.

Guilty Minds(Amazon Prime Video; 10 Episodes)
Created & Directed by Shefali Bhushan; Co-directed by Jayant Digambar Samalkar
It is not as if this series blows your mind off with its legal wisdom. Nor is it only about getting the courtroom sequences right. Both in place, Guilty Minds sets out to score points for being able to hijack our attention for ten episodes. Not all of it is equally engrossing. But the storytelling even when faltering and fumbling to cram in too many social issues(including an utterly unnecessary child-abuse end-game) never ceases to be compelling.
Primarily, Guilty Minds works because it doesn’t try to penetrate too far into the minds of the perpetrators. It is all done on the surface level, but with immense care and concentration, so that an impression of focused narration and uninterrupted tension is created even when the plot meanders into the characters’ personal lives which...
