Met her husband, Peter Gimbel, when they were both promoting Cinema Center films--she for Le Mans (1971) and he for Blue Water, White Death (1971). They were introduced by Sidney Ganis, publicist and former (2007) president of AMPAS.
She was considered for the main James Bond girl role in From Russia with Love (1963) that eventually went to Daniela Bianchi.
Was frequently courted by royalty, including Aly Khan, the king of Morocco and Shah Reza Pahlevi.
