Peter Barkworth was born on January 14, 1929 in Margate, Kent, England as Peter Wynn Barkworth. He was an actor and writer, known for Where Eagles Dare (1968), Patton (1970) and The Price (1985). He died on October 21, 2006 in Hampstead, London, England.

Also teacher at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and author of several books on acting.
He was on the Council of RADA.
Taught Anthony Hopkins at RADA, later acted with his student in International Velvet (1978).
Taught Simon Ward at RADA.
Went to RADA with Robert Shaw and Theodore Bikel.
His father was a sales manager in the motor trade.
While attending school in Stockport, he began acting with the Frank H. Fortescue weekly repertory company.
His favorite hobby was gardening.
