Seamus Lyte, the UK agent to the late Carrie Fisher, has died at his home in Los Angeles of glioblastoma. He was 54.
The founder and Managing Partner of Seamus Lyte Management passed away peacefully last week with his husband of ten years, Andrew Wishart, by his side.
His death followed a three-year battle with glioblastoma, a fast-growing and highly-aggressive form of brain cancer, according to Lyte’s friend, Independent Talent Group agent Laura Hill.
Lyte’s career spanned 25 years, during which he built a unique roster of clients including Star Wars actor Fisher, British meteorologist Siân Lloyd, actor and presenter Christopher Biggins, couturier David Emanuel and TV host and radio DJ Tyler West.
Hill said: “Seamus will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His legacy as a talented and highly respected entertainment professional will continue to inspire and bring joy to those who remember him.”

Grab your notepads and detective hats... because The Masked Singer is back on our screens.
The popular ITV1 reality show, in which a group of celebrities stage musical performances while wearing elaborate themed costumes, has returned for its fourth UK series.
As with previous years, viewers and the roster of judges – Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, and Davina McCall – are tasked with guessing the identity of the masked singers. Each week, the worst performer is eliminated from the programme and “de-masked”.
Football pundit Chris Kamara has already become the first casualty of the new series, having been disguised as Ghost before his elimination in week one.
Among the other costumes featured on this year’s series are Phoenix, Knitting, Jellyfish, Rubbish, Jacket Potato, and Pigeon.

A multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit filed against US musician Phoebe Bridgers has been dropped.
The case was originally filed by producer Chris Nelson back in September 2021. Nelson sued the “Kyoto” singer for 3.8m (£3.2m), claiming she spread false accusations about him.
At the time he alleged defamation, false light, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and intentional interference with prospective economic relations.
In the original suit, it stated that that Bridgers had “consensual sexual encounters” with Nelson and his then girlfriend, Emily Bannon “around 2018”, which continued until Bannon and Nelson broke up in 2019.
Following his split with Bannon, Nelson claims that Bridgers “maliciously and intentionally posted the false and defamatory statements about [him] as part of a vendetta to destroy [his] reputation that was inflamed by defendant Bridgers and his [ex-girlfriend, Bannon’s] sexual relationship”.
The defamation relates to an Instagram post from October 2020, where Nelson claims Bridgers made “false and misleading statements” on her account,...

Boy George’s friend, DJ Fat Tony, has said the musician’s reaction to Matt Hancock entering the jungle was genuine.
On Wednesday night (9 November), Hancock joined the jungle with comedian Seann Walsh, to the shock of their fellow contestants.
On screen, Boy George was upset by the revelation:“You know, beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital. I wasn’t allowed to see her. I thought she was going to die,” he told presenter Scarlette Douglas.
“I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, ‘Please look after my mum.’ I used my name, I was like, ‘Please look after my mum.’ And they did, she was fine… I feel like, I don’t want to be sitting here like I’m having fun with him.”

Christopher Biggins has joked that Ed Sheeran’s career is “over” after Matt Hancock was caught singing his song on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
On Wednesday’s (9 November) episode of the show, Hancock made his highly anticipated entrance into the jungle alongside comedian Seann Walsh.
While speaking with Walsh, Hancock asked him about the meaning behind his neck tattoo.
Walsh explained that the tattoo represented Blink-182, who he said was his favourite band.
In return, Walsh then asked what music Hancock was into he replied: “Quite mainstream… I’m not going to put a tattoo of Ed Sheeran on my neck,” Hancock responded.
Hancock proceeded to sing Sheeran’s 2017 hit song “Perfect”.
“You between my arms… barefoot on the grass… don’t get me singing… listening to my favourite song... What’s it called? ‘Perfect’? I love it.”

In a year of chaos and confusion, another surprise – the 2022 I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! cast are actually famous. Not only can I both recognise and name Boy George, Mike Tindall, Chris Moyles and – in the name of Covid! – Matt Hancock, but I actually know a bit about their backstories, and probably too much in the case of Hancock. Obviously, the former health secretary and privy councillor seized this opportunity like it was a fanciable spad, and I’m not that surprised.
I met him once, many years ago. He was a bag-carrier for the then chancellor, George Osborne, and he struck me as being superficially friendly and likeable, but somehow ultimately untrustworthy. So it has indeed proved, for his country, his party and his family. Maybe, soon, for his new friends in Australia, too. Harsh, but, you know the law of the jungle.

Lady Kitty Spencer slept on the street last week —but she is quick to note that her experience was nothing like that of the homeless youth for which she was raising awareness.

From the new Absolutely Fabulous movie to Zoolander 2, Ryan Gilbey reflects on what separates the unforgettable star turns from the excruciating B-list cash-ins

Christopher Biggins has slammed plans for a 'Porridge' remake. The 66-year-old actor has spoken out against the BBC's decision to bring back the classic prison sitcom, in which he played inmate Lukewarm, almost 40 years after it came to an end. He said: ''I wish they would leave these things alone. ''I wish they would go and find new ideas.'' 'Porridge' was a massive hit in the 70s and became a British classic because of Ronnie Barker's hilarious portrayal of inmate Norman 'Fletch' Fletcher. And although original writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais have agreed to write a new pilot in which Fletch's grandson...

Christopher Biggins thinks Cilla Black's death was ''for the best''. The 66-year-old star was devastated when his friend passed away after a fall aged 72 almost three months ago but thinks she'd rather have died suddenly than struggled on with the health problems that were beginning to plague her. He said: ''Towards the end she was having problems with her hearing and eyesight and arthritis. She would have been the worst patient ever, God forbid anyone would have had to look after Cilla. She would have been angry. ''So I think absolutely the way that it happened was the best.'' Christopher - who has...

"Enter at your own risk!!" screams a sign early on in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a fair warning for a film that's as unapologetically bonkers as you'd imagine a Cyndi Lauper sleepover or a John Waters nightmare to be, swimming in batty humour, extravagant costumes and hummable anarchy. With Tim Curry tottering around in high heels and suspenders, and Susan Sarandon harmonising in nothing but her bra, director Jim Sharman's 1975 musical adaptation is a veritable anthem to the odd.
Risky? Yes, but in the intervening 40 years, it's become a cult phenomenon that's stood the test of time remarkably well, partly because it never belonged to a discernible time period anyway. Based on Richard O'Brien's 1973 stage show (then called The Rocky Horror Show), the film sends up and celebrates the schlocky sci-fi/horror tropes of the '30s, '40s and '50s, revelling in a kitschy timelessness.

Christopher Biggins says Cilla Black seemed ''very jolly'' when they last spoke 10 days ago. The TV legend sadly passed away aged 72 this weekend but her close pal Christopher has claimed that although she wasn't in the best of health, Cilla still seemed upbeat during their final phone call. He said: ''She had a problem with her hearing and a little problem with her knees. ''When I spoke to her 10 days ago she seemed very jolly. ''This year has been quite tough with her health-wise.'' The former Strictly Come Dancing host praised the late Blind Date presenter for having a "common touch" that made her relatable to the public.
Cilla Black 1943-2015: Her life in pictures, from musical stardom to TV icon
"72 is no age to leave us all, so many people are going to be so upset," he told ITV News.
"She had such a following, everybody loved her with all the shows she did. She had that - as we say, what people always say about me - that common touch."
The 87-year-old said he would miss Black, adding: "I still can't believe it. I didn't see much of her in the last few months at all, but whenever I did see her she always had a laugh.

Michael Armstrong, the writer and star of Eskimo Nell, once said, "It's hard to wank and laugh at the same time". In the 1970s filmmakers gave it a very good try however, and the British sex comedy was virtually the only kind of film being funded. The problem is that the majority of them were neither funny or sexy. They were generally grubby and embarrassing for the actors and the audience. One of the pioneers of the British sex film was director and producer Stanley Long, responsible for The Wife Swappers (1969) and Adventures of a Taxi Driver (1975) and many others. An occasional cinematographer on prestigious films like Roman Polanski's Repulsion (1965), Long often recognised and nurtured new talent, particularly if he could see a financial reward.

Two Overs in The X Factor Grand Finale. Who'd-a-thunk it?
Fleur East and Ben Haenow have beaten off Jack Walton, Stereo Kicks and Stevi Ritchie (oh, behave!) to make it to Wembley tonight.
And although we won't be seeing Andi Peters at the CD printing press (more for shame), we can expect more Louis Walsh, celebratory sausages and One Direction.
Crack out the eggnog and join Digital Spy as we await the news of whether Fleur or Ben will follow the illustrious steps of Shayne Ward, Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson to take The X Factor crown.
Even more exciting than that, we're also hoping for an update on whether Labrinth ever had his wisdom teeth out...
22:01Anyway, that's it everyone! With one last plug for the tour, we're over and out. Goodnight all!
21:59There are too many X Factor finalists there with shaved sides of their heads.

After 13 series, there have now been more than enough I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! winners to fill up their own all-star series.
They all had to endure creepy crawlies, tough Bushtucker Trials and mockery by Ant & Dec, but they all won the hearts of the nation for a couple of weeks.
Some of them may have fallen from grace since, while some have soared up the UK fame ranks. But who were the best champions from their respective series? Here's our just-for-fun, don't-take-it-too-seriously Top 13.
13. Carol Thatcher - Series 5 (2005)
Potentially the most surprising winner of the lot, no-one could have guessed that Margaret Thatcher's daughter would have been voted the nation's favourite.
Viewers were won over by how involved she was in the tasks, her no-nonsense attitude, and the fact that she was only up against Sid Owen and Cannon & Ball.

Considering this is a reality show which has a winners' roll including such illustrious names as Joe Pasquale, Christopher Biggins and Phil Tufnell, it's slightly baffling that some people expect something more than D-listers and Never-Heard-Of-Them glamour models.
This is the show that made Joe Swash. The Hollywood Walk of Fame, this is not.
The 2013 lineup doesn't look like breaking with tradition, including a woman most famous for having a tiff with Katie Price, Big Mo off that EastEnders and Joey Essex as this year's obligatory scripted reality airhead.
Battling for the prize of most famous are '80s snooker player Steve Davis and stool-bothering ex-boyband singer Kian Egan,...

Happy 25th birthday to This Morning, which celebrates its silver anniversary today (October 3).
The famous ITV daytime show's current hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were joined by original hosts Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan for a special episode at This Morning's first home in Liverpool's Albert Docks.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, here's Digital Spy's pick of This Morning's most memorable moments.
1. Booyakasha!
Who could forget Richard Madeley's misjudged and horrendously toe-curling Ali G impersonation? He appeared on our screens completely in character, right down to the drawn-on goatee, while an awkward Judy Finnegan visibly cringed and attempted to plough on with the show.
2. Two Vaginas Lady
Well done Holly Willoughby, who was able to keep a straight face while explaining that poor Hazel Jones has a medical condition which means she has two vaginas. The discussion spanned double periods, the difficulty of inserting tampons and some very graphic camera shots.

★☆☆☆☆ The inimitable Danny Dyer returned to UK cinema screens earlier this year in Ray Cooney and John Luton's infamous Run for Your Wife (2012), occupying the type of role that few would have associated him with - but will be now be praying he never returns to. Far similar in style and tone to an extended CBeebies offering than the type of 1970s British sex comedy that it purports to ape (the Confessions... cycle's Robin Askwith even makes an ill-advised cameo - the first of many), Cooney and Luton's fatuous farce flops from one unbearable skit to the next, before letting its reprehensible bigamist off the hook, scot-free.
Dyer plays London cabbie John Smith, who inexplicably finds himself married to not one, but two attractive women - one in Stockwell (Denise Van Outen's Michelle), the other in Finsbury (Sarah Harding's Stephanie). After intervening to halt a late night...
