Tammy Blanchard was born on December 14, 1976 in Bayonne, New Jersey, USA. She is an actress, known for Into the Woods (2014), The Invitation (2015) and The Good Shepherd (2006).

Played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz as a junior at her high school.
Was nominated for Broadway's 2003 Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) for her performance as Gypsy Rose Lee in a revival of "Gypsy."
Has a knack for portraying famous women. She won an Emmy Award for playing Judy Garland on television and was nominated for a Tony Award for playing Gypsy Rose Lee on stage.
Before they were more famous, Blanchard acted opposite Taye Diggs (Rent (2005)), Cynthia Watros (Lost (2004)) and Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill (2003)) on the daytime serial Guiding Light (1952).
Won a 2003 Theatre World Award for her role in "Gypsy."
Daughter, Ava Jean Blanchard, was born in 2008. She's named after Ava Gardner.
