Brenda Bruce was born on July 7, 1919 in Prestwich, Lancashire, England. She was an actress, known for Peeping Tom (1960), Little Dorrit (1987) and While the Sun Shines (1947). She was married to Clement McCallin and Roy Rich. She died on February 19, 1996 in London, England.

Long-time actress with the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as the Birmingham Repertory Company (1936-1939).
Started on the stage as a teenage chorus girl.
Both of her husbands died of cancer; her only son died in childhood of asthma.
Was the RSC's resident Mistress Page in "The Merry Wives of Windor", playing the role in 1964, 1968, 1975 and 1995.
During the 1950s she worked prolifically on television, presenting a chat show with her husband Roy Rich called "Rich and Rich" and appearing in many dramas.
She ran a hotel near Stratford during her RSC years.
She had twin baby girls with her husband Roy Rich.
She was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1985 Queen's New Year Honours List for her services to drama.
