Marcus Coloma Opens up About Taking Over as Nikolas on General Hospital (Exclusive)

Shhh… Much like General Hospital’s Nikolas, Marcus Coloma spent his first days in Port Charles in hiding. “A lot of the cast didn’t know who I was, so I was kind of sneaking around the dressing rooms and hair and makeup” departments, he told Soaps In Depth. “People glanced at me but didn’t really know who I was. Then, slowly, as the weeks rolled out, there were rumors about who I was and what I was doing there. It was pretty funny, because it was definitely life mirroring art.” With Nikolas’ return from the dead shrouded in secrecy, “I literally was not able to talk about this to anyone,” revealed the actor. “My mom found out when the mask came off — and she was a fan of Luke and Laura! I knew she would flip her lid. She’ll watch anything I’m in, obviously, but it

What Happened to Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital

Now that Nikolas Cassadine is back on General Hospital, some might need or want a refresher on the character's twisted history. Nikolas was introduced in 1996 with Tyler Christopher originating the character, and in 1999, Colton Scott took over. Christopher returned to the role in 2003 and played the character up until his exit in 2016, with actor Nick Stabile taking over briefly to usher Nikolas off the canvas. There was also a handful of episodes in December of 2005 when Chris Beetem took over the role while Christopher underwent surgery on his broken arm. Although Nik was presumed dead, there was no body, and sure enough, he returned very much alive and played by Marcus Coloma! Nikolas first arrived in Port Charles as a teenager to donate his bone marrow to save his sister, Lulu Spencer. Although he and brother Lucky Spencer started off butting heads, the siblings eventually bonded. Nikolas’ world was turned

Stefan O. Dimera on Days Of Our Lives — Everything You Need to Know

The character of Stefan O. Dimera on Days Of Our Lives arrived with a bang in December of 2017 just in time for the New Year. Now, this isn’t the classic villain, Stefano Dimera, who was played by the late Joseph Mascolo — this is his son, Stefan, originally played by popular Daytime Emmy Award winner Tyler Christopher. However, after just over a year in the role, he was replaced by another General Hospital alum, Brandon Barash, in March of 2019. But now it looks like the character is going out with a bang as well! Stefan Octavius Dimera first appeared on Dec. 29, 2017, and it was revealed that he is the previously-unknown child of Vivian Alamain and Stefano Dimera. He was conceived when Stefano was posing as Rudolpho Meradi and seduced Vivian to steal her ruby. Although Viv’s manservant, Ivan, told her the baby was stillborn, the infant was spirited away.

What Happened to Cassandra on General Hospital

Daytime vet Jessica Tuck was excited to return to soaps as the evil Casandra Pierce on General Hospital back in September of 2017, and the villainess has continued to pop up again and again like a bad penny! “Soaps are where I started,” she confided to Soaps In Depth when she joined the cast of Gh, “so it always feels like coming home. Especially in this case because executive producer Frank Valentini and I basically started together. On One Life To Live, he was a production assistant when I was first starting. Coming back and being able to work with Frank, it’s a privilege. It’s so much fun.” Cassandra was a hypochondriac from whom Anna Devane wanted information about Valentin Cassadine, and she used Finn to act as her doctor to run tests and keep her busy while she investigated. However, Cassandra was more dangerous than they had anticipated,

Mark Lawson Returns to General Hospital as Dustin

Some ABC Daytime fans recognized Dustin Phillips, Lulu's date in the July 9 episode of General Hospital, because they remember actor Mark Lawson from One Life To Live, where he played Brody from 2008 to 2012. "It was really hard not to talk about it," he admitted to the site, "but I hope the surprise was worth it!" Eden McCoy Reveals the Emotional Toll Her Gh Storyline Took on Her (Exclusive)

Last year, all Eden McCoy (Josslyn) wanted was to get into some heavy, heartbreaking storylines on General Hospital. “It’s funny, because you always want what you don’t have,” the teenager chuckled to Soaps In Depth. “I wanted to dive into something dramatic. Then when I had to cry for the first time, I remember I was so taken back by it — and I had no idea what was coming!” The effects of the emotional story stuck with McCoy even when she wasn’t on set. “One week, I had to go to work right after school every day and knew Joss was going to be in a dark emotional place, so I just stayed in the dark place. That kind of sucked!” she sighed. “Now I’m like, ‘Why can’t I have one scene that doesn’t leave me depressed for a week?’” While the storyline was emotionally taxing,
