Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo to Reprise ‘Waco’ Roles in ‘American Tragedies: Waco – The Trials’

Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo to Reprise ‘Waco’ Roles in ‘American Tragedies: Waco – The Trials’
Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo will reprise their roles from Paramount Network’s 2018 limited series “Waco” in “American Tragedies: Waco – The Trials,” MTV Entertainment Studios announced Monday. The follow-up series will explore the legal fallout after the tragic events that took place in Waco, Texas, in 1993.

Waco was the longest gun battle in U.S. law enforcement in history, as a small religious community known as the Branch Davidians led by David Koresh withstood a raid by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (Atf). Four Atf agents and six civilians were left dead and dozens more were wounded during the battle. A 51-day standoff ensued, and the conflict ended after an FBI assault led to a fire that engulfed the compound, killing 76 men, women and children.

Leguizamo received an Emmy nomination for his “Waco” role as Jacob Vasquez, an Atf agent who blows the whistle on the disastrous siege.

‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6: Where Things Stand Before the AMC Series’ Farewell Season

‘Better Call Saul’ Season 6: Where Things Stand Before the AMC Series’ Farewell Season
Two-year pauses are always tricky for TV shows. Sometimes, they’re much-needed breaks so that a series’ creative team can gear up for another round of storytelling. In other cases, it’s a surefire opportunity to lose momentum.

Of course, “Better Call Saul,” like many of the other benchmark television dramas currently airing, had to put plans on hold when productions around the world went dark in 2020. As the show’s most recent season was airing, it would be almost another year entirely before “Better Call Saul” went back to Albuquerque to finish the connective tissue between it and its predecessor, “Breaking Bad.”

On the precipice of its final run of 13 episodes, the show’s first five seasons are now available on both AMC+ and Netflix. But in case you need a quick refresher and this didn’t get you quite far enough, here’s a pair of backward and

The ‘Billions’ Season 6 Finale Is About Power as a Dangerous Game

The ‘Billions’ Season 6 Finale Is About Power as a Dangerous Game
[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for “Billions” Season 6, Episode 12, “Cold Storage,” including the ending.]

As far as four-word thesis statements go, “Things you do matter” is about as efficient as they come. When Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) offers that sentiment up to Rian (Eva Victor) as a means of persuasion, it’s an effective blanket statement for the whole of “Billions” Season 6. The would-be benevolent billionaire makes speaks these words as an acknowledgment that none of his own actions come without consequences, however much he thinks he has the means to ignore them. But as has been the case for pretty much every major player this season, it’s always as important to consider to whom those things matter.

Per federal regulation, all “Billions” finales must start in medias res. While this one doesn’t have the same bait-and-switch as its predecessor (the “He here?” twist from the end of Season 5 is still a classic), this

Better Call Saul Season 6 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, and Plot

Better Call Saul Season 6 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, and Plot
The last ride of Jimmy McGill is almost upon us. Better Call Saul season 6 will be the show’s last season and it will once and for all showcase the final transition of loveable up-and-coming lawyer Jimmy McGill into scummy criminal (emphasis on criminal) lawyer Saul Goodman. If Breaking Bad was the story of one man’s transition from Mr. Chips to Scarface, Better Call Saul is the story of one man caught between the idealized version of himself that he knows he could be and the less than reputable version of himself the world sees him as. This season, the idealized version will lose the fight, but he’ll surely go down swinging.

In official statement, showrunner Peter Gould had this to say about the final season of Better Call Saul:

“From day one of Better Call Saul, my dream was to tell the complete story of our complicated and compromised hero,

How New ‘Billions’ Dynamic Duo Made Fans Fall in Love with Wags and Scooter — Q&a

How New ‘Billions’ Dynamic Duo Made Fans Fall in Love with Wags and Scooter — Q&a
Being on the set of “Billions” always keep you on your toes.

After playing the perky and hedonistic fan favorite Mike “Wags” Wagner for six seasons on the Showtime, David Costabile knows that better than just about anyone.

“There’s a responsibility that you have to the rest of the company to help them focus. If somebody starts fucking around, then everybody wants to start fucking around. There’s a time and a place for it, and there’s plenty of fucking around that we do. It’s just not when the cameras are rolling,” Costabile said.

That company now includes Daniel Breaker, who joined the “Billions” cast last season as ideal Wags foil Roger “Scooter” Dunbar, the second-in-command for Corey Stoll’s squeaky clean-seeming billionaire Michael Prince. Breaker came to the show with a strong stage pedigree, including three-year runs on both “The Book of Mormon” and “Hamilton.” Following
