Pierre Cour was born on April 5, 1916 in Brunoy, Essonne, France as Pierre Lemaire. He was an actor and writer, known for Pineapple Express (2008), Behind The Candelabra (2013) and Born on the Fourth of July (1989). He was married to Éliane Rouget. He died on December 22, 1995 in Montluçon, Allier, France.

In 1960, he wrote the lyrics of the French song "Comme c'est Bon chez toi" with the music of Henri Betti but the original lyrics were written by Charles Aznavour and the title was "Toi et tes Yeux d'Enfant".
