Attended Kenyon College, in Gambier, Ohio.
Once collaborated on a film -- set in Japan -- with Milos Forman. The day before production was to begin, the studio canceled the film.
His wife Jessica is in the teaching credential program at California State University, Long Beach.
He is son of director Gordon Davidson and Judi Davidson.
His mother, Judi Davidson, is a partner in Davidson & Choy Publicity, an arts and entertainment public relations firm in Los Angeles. His father Gordon Davidson, retired in 2005 as the artistic director of the Center Theater Group in Los Angeles, which consists of the Mark Taper Forum, the Ahmanson Theater and the Kirk Douglas Theater. He also directed the Broadway productions of "Children of a Lesser God" and "The Shadow Box", for which he won Tony Awards.
He graduated cum laude from Kenyon College, Ohio and received a master's degree in film from Columbia.
