  • MovieWeb
Disney's Noelle looks like it is destined to be a repeat watch during the holidays. The Christmas movie, which stars Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader as Santa's children, was previewed today for the first time when Disney dropped the trailer at the D23 Expo earlier this evening. Kendrick and Hader have a solid comedic chemistry together, which is evident just from watching the brief trailer. Thankfully, we don't have to wait too long before being able to check it out since it will premiere when the Disney+ streaming service launches in November.

In Disney+'s holiday comedy Noelle, Santa's daughter (Anna Kendrick) is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun, but wishes she could do something more "important" like her brother Nick, who will take over for their father this Christmas. However, it doesn't look like Nick has what it takes for such a huge responsibility. Watching this, Noelle

Super Fun and Hilarious Trailer For Noelle, Disney+'s Upcoming Christmas Movie

I love Christmas movies! And I feel like it’s been a solid block of time since we got a good one. Now we have a great looking one to check out when we subscribe to Disney+ this November.

Noelle follows the story of Santa Claus’ grown up kids who have to take over for him once he’s gone. Anna Kendrick plays Nicole Claus, and her brother, the new Santa, is played by Bill Hader. Hader’s character is having cold feet, and when his sister tells him to take a couple of days to prepare for Christmas, he takes off, and the North Pole crews decide to go on a rescue mission to find him.

The supporting cast includes Shirley MacLaine, Billy Eichner, Julie Hagerty, Michael Gross, and many more. I am really excited about this movie, and it’s coming just in time for the Christmas season to kick off.

The film centers on the daughter of the real Santa Claus, Noelle. When her father decides to retire, and her brother gets cold feat just before his first Christmas Eve, Noelle must take up the family business.

‘Marriage Story’ First Trailers: Noah Baumbach’s Netflix Drama Shows Two Sides to One Heartbreaking Story
There are two sides to every story, a concept that filmmaker Noah Baumbach and streaming giant Netflix seem intent on baking into the very fabric of their upcoming drama, “Marriage Story.” And that includes marketing materials, as Netflix has now rolled out not one, but two trailers for the upcoming drama, all the better to show off two perspectives on one tale.

Billed by the streaming giant as an “incisive and compassionate portrait of a marriage breaking up and a family staying together,” the film stars Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver as a once-happy couple going through a heartbreaking divorce. The film also stars Laura Dern, Alan Alda, Ray Liotta, Julie Hagerty, Merritt Wever and Azhy Robertson, with Wallace Shawn, Martha Kelly, and Mark O’Brien.

Despite the inherent drama of the premise, these first trailers still smack of Baumbach’s trademark dark humor, and while “Marriage Story” will offer plenty of tears,

Lost In America

According to Newsweek, 1984 was “The Year of the Yuppie”, referring to those ferociously materialistic young professionals whose numbers blossomed during the Reagan administration. The following year Albert Brooks made Lost In America which describes what happens when one of those shallow, upwardly mobile folks decides to ditch the Mercedes, hit the road a la Easy Rider and go “touch Indians”. The results are one of the great satires in American film. Co-starring a brilliant Julie Hagerty as Brooks’ roulette-happy wife and an inspired cameo from Garry Marshall as a nonplussed casino boss.
