Hans van Helden has over 20 years of hands-on experience in post production and visual effects.
Having managed culturally different crews and clients around the globe on more than 100 feature films and TV drama series has given Hans the edge up on anticipating pitfalls from the very beginning.
Being completely up-to-date on both traditional and the latest technologies in film and broadcast he is frequently asked as expert to give master classes and lectures and he is Head of Studies at the MEDIA supported EP2C, an international post production workshop.
On all his jobs as post production supervisor Hans has had full responsibility over the entire post production process, from budgeting and scheduling to supervising the editing, music, sound, laboratory, grading, legal and foreign deliverables. All to delivery standards for territories worldwide, within budget and on-time.
As visual effects supervisor his work ranges from Paul Verhoeven's 'Black Book' to Martin Koolhoven's 'Brimstone' and currently the new Brian De Palma thriller 'Domino'.
Hans is an active member of the Visual Effects Society (VES); Co-founder and Chairman of the Dutch Association of Visual Effects Professionals (NVX); Member of the European Film Academy (EFA); member of the Dutch Academy for Film (DAFF); member of the advisory board to the Dutch Film and Television Academy (NFA).
As a consequence of his frequent work on international co-productions, Hans has lived and worked in different cities all over the world and holds dual passports, both for the EC and the USA.
In January 2011 Hans joined post production & visual effects studio FILMMORE Amsterdam to set up their Brussels facility as Managing Director. Currently Hans is Head of VFX and responsible for the international development at FILMMORE.
