Patricia Hodge was born on September 29, 1946 in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, England as Patricia Ann Hodge. She is known for her work on Miranda (2009), The Elephant Man (1980) and The Falklands Play (2002). She was previously married to Peter Douglas Owen.

She was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 2000 (1999 season) for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Money", a production at the Royal National Theatre, Olivier Stage.
Born in Cleethorpes, she grew up in Grimsby, where her parents ran a hotel.
She's currently appear in the touring version of the play, "The Clean House", by Sarah Ruhl, playing "Lane". [April 2008]
Played the role of "Lady Fidget" in William Wycherley's Restoration comedy "The Country Wife", at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, London. [October 2007]
