Associate general counsels Adrian Kuzycz and Randall Jackson and chief ethics and legal compliance officer Rahwa Ghebre-Ab will manage Lionsgate’s legal team on an interim basis. Berg, a former Sony Pictures Entertainment exec, joined Lionsgate in mid-2018 and reported to CEO Jon Feltheimer.
Berg also worked closely with vice chairman Michael Burns, COO Brian Goldsmith and CFO Jimmy Barge as the studio navigated industry consolidation. Lionsgate is currently courting possible suitors as it considers spinning off its studio business.

The Miss America baton—or should we say crown—has been passed from former Miss North Dakota Cara Mund to this year's Miss America, Nia Franklin. Franklin, who is Miss New York, won the Miss America Competition which took place at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The show was hosted by Carrie Ann Inaba and Ross Matthews. Franklin won over the celebrity judging panel, which was comprised of Laila Ali, Randy Jackson, Jessie James Decker, Bobby Bones, Soledad O'Brien and Alli Webb. Her talent included operatic vocals and her poignant answers about identity won over loud cheers from the crowd. As the new face of the Miss America organization,...

Nia Franklin of New York City was crowned Miss America on Sunday in the first pageant in the organization’s 98-year history without a swimsuit or evening gown contest.
Franklin earns a $50,000 scholarship, while Connecticut’s Bridget Oei was named first runner-up and earned a $25,000 scholarship.
But the post-#MeToo tweaks to the contest weren’t the only signs of change as politics reared their head throughout the competition.

Miss Michigan Emily Sioma eschewed the usual boastful or rah-rah self-introduction to deliver this pointed diss at her home state in the live broadcast Sunday night: “From a state with 84 percent of the U.S. fresh water, but none for its residents to drink, I’m Miss Michigan, Emily Sioma.”
During pre-broadcast competition on Friday, another contestant made a pointed remark about President Donald Trump.

Since saying “Bye, Bye, Bye” in 2002, Justin Timberlake, Jc Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick have each built careers for themselves outside of ‘Nsync — the blockbuster boyband that brought them worldwide fame in the ’90s.
Though there aren’t plans for the group to get back together and make music any time soon, they’re still good friends — reuniting most recently in August for Chasez’s 40th birthday bash.
“The guys spent the entire night together,” a source told People at the time. “They all sat in a group and just reunited, relived and had such a ball.

Jermaine and Randy Jackson have said that they feel that the timing of a planned tribute concert for brother Michael is inappropriate because it clashes with criminal proceedings against the late star's doctor Conrad Murray. Their siblings Latoya, Tito and Marlon, plus mother Katherine, revealed initial details of the 'Michael Forever Tribute Concert' in a Los Angeles press conference yesterday. However, neither Jermaine nor Randy were present. Both brothers posted a statement on their Twitter pages which read: "While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honours our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death... we feel it is inappropriate to be involved with such an ill-timed event and its promoter, Global Live. "Furthermore, the decision to proceed (more)...

The executors of Michael Jackson's estate have begun legal proceedings to force Alejandra Jackson and her children to move out of the family mansion. Jackson matriarch Katherine previously asked her former daughter-in-law, who has two sons by ex-husband Jermaine Jackson and another two kids with Randy Jackson, to leave the Hayvenhurst estate in Encino, California.
But Alejandra refused to relocate with the children - and now estate co-executors John Branca and John McClain have filed legal papers asking a judge to order her out of the property. The papers, filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, January 6, state that Alejandra and her kids are not beneficiaries of the King of Pop's will and therefore have no claim to the house, reports TMZ.com.
The Jacksons reportedly want to renovate the sprawling property, but Alejandra is halting proceedings by remaining at the house.
