If it were up to us, "Project Runway" would never be "out," it would just play on a loop 24/7/365.
Sadly, Season 14 will say auf wiedersehen on Thursday, November 5th, so now seems like a good time to take stock and rank the previous 13 seasons, with the expectation that the 2015 season will probably fall somewhere in the middle of the pack once it's done. (Tim Gunn "hated" Season 14, but there have been worse.) Every season of PR is a precious, unique little rhinestone, but, like the judges, we have our favorites -- and now it's Our turn to be biased.
So here's our very subjective but still definitive worst-to-best ranking, which may only be challenged by a glare from Nina Garcia, an eye roll from Michael Kors, a "make it work" from Tim Gunn, or an "out" from Heidi Klum.

Artist Terence Koh — best known for wearing all white and selling series of his own excrement plated, in gold, for $500,000 at Art Basel, as well as saying things like, “I’m the Naomi Campbell of the art world” — is rethinking his “art is a party” attitude. Or maybe the party was just over. “I recently left all galleries to live on mountain,” he emailed, in his customary child-speak, when asked about where he'd disappeared to. “I donut [sic] have cellphone or read news.” Indeed, Koh is no longer represented by his galleries in New York (Sean Kelly), Paris (Thaddaeus Ropac), or Berlin (Peres Projects, whose owner, Javier Peres, says he initiated the split several years ago: “I closed the door on that chapter and haven't looked back since”).Now, from his 96-acre plot of farmland in the Catskills, a location he identifies only as “Pantöu,” a Greek word meaning “everywhere,” Koh...

With a glint in her eye and and an inviting tone in her voice, a woman next to me as we exited Marina Abramovic's latest outing at Sean Kelly Gallery asked, "Was it you who just felt me up? It was so nice." I looked at her, and then at her chest. We locked eyes. For an instant, I wanted to say "Yes, I will yes." Then — remembering that my vibe has never produced these sorts of encounters — I said, "I wish it'd been me, but it wasn't." And just like that, I snapped back from a dreamy life that never was to what I'd been thinking the instant before. Which was that the piece had been mumbo-jumbo, nothing more.I feel about Abramovic's art the way I do about the High Line. It's a high-production distraction for tourists that simultaneously keeps them from over-crowding the already over-crowded real...

Season 13 of "Project Runway" is getting down to the wire, and Kini Zamora leads our users' predictions with 7/2 odds (click here for our complete predictions), but does he really deserve to win? -Break- 'Project Runway': Storage war leads to head-to-head face-off and bitter exit Kini has certainly been a judges' favorite. After a slow start, he began consistently finishing among the top contestants in design challenges, including three wins in the last four weeks. Two of those victories were for arguably the most difficult tasks: the avant-garde "Rainway" challenge, and the "American Girl" children's wear challenge. But Sean Kelly has also won three times, though one of those challenges – the Rock Wedding – probably should have gone to Kini, since Sean accepted credit for half of Kini's work; Sean got a taste of his own medicine last week during another team challenge, where th...

Last week on "Project Runway," Korina Emmerich won her second challenge of the season, impressing judges with the stylish leather jacket she designed for a nonprofessional model she recruited from Washington Square Park. But even before she won, she bragged about her designs, not just this week but throughout the season, arguing that she stands out from the pack. -Break- 'Project Runway' recap: Designers find their muse, Tim Gunn makes two controversial calls In our recent poll, readers voted Emmerich as their least favorite designer among the top eight with almost half the total vote. Her latest bout of arrogance and trash-talking probably won't win her any new fans. But on the other hand, she has now won two challenges; only three other designers among the remaining six competitors have won challenges (Sean Kelly has three wins, while Kini Zamora and Amanda Valentine also have two). Is she right to be confident?...

Alexander Knox has led our racetrack odds for "Project Runway" for the last three weeks in a row, but going into the ninth week of competition, our users have selected a new frontrunner: New Zealand-native Sean Kelly. He currently gets 5/1 odds to win, knocking Knox down to second place with 11/2 odds. -Break- 'Project Runway' Poll: Which designer do you Love the most? Our users were perhaps motivated by the fact that Sean has won three challenges in the last four weeks, including the recent "Rainway" challenge, when he shared a victory with overdue Kini Zamora. Sean wowed the judges with a dress that transformed in the rain from powdered dyes stitched into the fabric. Alexander, meanwhile, has yet to win a challenge. What's more, he has only finished among high scorers once and received low scores three times. And even though he ranks second in our winner predictions,...

A double-stick tape mishap, car wash couture and bizarre boob paneling -- stars are rocking all the wrong trends this week! Kim Kardashian showed off some major cleavage -- and her nipple covers -- in a black Yiqing Yin cutout jumpsuit at a Violet Grey beauty event in Los Angeles on Wednesday. At first glance, it looks like the reality star may have suffered a double nip slip. But when you look more closely, it's easy to spot the flesh-colored tape she used to keep her girls in place. Not chic! Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn didn't repeat their success at the Emmys this year; they won Reality Host in 2013 for "Project Runway," but were bested this time by Jane Lynch ("Hollywood Game Night"). However, Klum did make a winner out of one of this season's "Runway" designers. This week's task was to design a red-carpet dress that she would actually wear to the Creative Arts Emmys. -Break- Click here to debate this week's shocking eliminations with the passionate posters in our forums That lucky designer was Sean Kelly, and it was especially fortunate for him since he was in the bottom three for the last two weeks. We suppose that once you're an internationally famous supermodel on not one but two top TV shows, you can get away with wearing whatever you want. Case in point: Heidi Klum, who apparently commissioned designer Sean Kelly to make her a dress that could double as a car wash! Sometimes we get a little dramatic with the clothing comparisons for the sake of a joke. This time it's not necessary. The Project Runway star's black and blue fringed fashion could actually clean a vehicle...or a dog...or Tim Gunn! With Scrubs’ recent re-introduction to the UK Netflix catalogue, it’s the perfect opportunity to rediscover just how wonderful the NBC / ABC series was at its peak (aka before Season 9, which we can all forget exists and simply remember the original – and perfect – finale J.D was treated to).
From early on, one of the series’ major strengths was the attention lavished upon its characters. Although packed to the hilt with medical ribbing and lashings of slapstick humour, the central appeal of Scrubs is its depiction of the relationships and idiosyncrasies of the characters at its core, and not just those of the chief cast members. Even bit players who surfaced in only one or two episodes were more often than not fleshed out and given credible and heartfelt stories, with writers and actors alike working to ensure that nobody gets short shrift.

In past years, New York's Armory Art Show — the annual scrum where 200 galleries gather annually to sell their paintings, sculpture, and artistic whatnot — has traditionally found famous artists established, emerging and dead, dotting the aisles. Andy Warhol and his ilk were everywhere, whether in pricey paintings or cheaper prints. But this year's event (which opened to the public Thursday at Piers 92 and 94) felt different, more unpredictable: It's a year without Warhol. With no consensus as to who mattered in late twentieth-century art, and no movement-of-this-century to stick a label on yet, galleries brought some new names and a welcome air of experimentation filled the space. At the busy site of Sean Kelly Gallery, "We did a younger booth than we've ever done, to make sure our audience is aware of" these artists, said Lauren Kelly; she added that it resulted in an "excellent" response. Standouts and sales...

Sean mentioned that when he was editor of the late, lamented humor magazine, the National Lampoon, and the Lampoon shared a midtown building with my usual employer, DC Comics, he considered asking me to contribute something to his pages, but that someone told him that I wouldn’t be interested.
Now, let me take a deep breath and aver, emphatically, that I would have been delighted to have my work appear in the hippest and funniest magazine on the racks. I don’t know and don’t want to know who Sean spoke with,...

It's been a sad truism of the video game medium that even its best hardware and software can wind up as just so much cultural ephemera. It's tough to track down working models of the influential stand-up machines of the early arcade era, much less the weird knock-offs and outliers like "Jungle King" that never got as big as "Pac-Man" or "Donkey Kong." The same phenomenon goes for home consoles, too. One year's wished-for Christmas present became next year's trash pick-up and, as a result, many of the machines seen in the "Insane Console History Video 2.0." are lost to the dustbins of history.
The Insane Console History Video 2.0 from Elder-Geek on Vimeo.
John Hardie, Sean Kelly, and Joe Santulli want to change that. They already organize the Classic Gaming Expo but want to establish The Videogame History Museum as a full-time home for the wonders that can be seen there.
