Daughter of Lothar Müthel and Marga Reuter.
Mostly a stage actress.
Gustaf Gründgens discovered her as an actress and later was her mentor.
Leading stage actress, trained at the Staatliche Schauspielbühne Berlin and on stage at the Deutsche Theater by the age of seventeen. Acted in classical theatrical roles as well as in musicals and radio plays. Infrequently on screen until the mid-1950's, then worked predominantly in television.
The theater kept her domain after the war, her appearances in movies and later in TV productions were sporadically.
