Former Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s reality star Tim Norman was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday.
The decision comes six months after the St. Louis soul food restaurant manager was convicted of killing his nephew through murder-for-hire.
In September 2022, Norman was found guilty of committing murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud in the March 2016 shooting of his nephew Andre Montgomery. Norman took out a life insurance policy of $450,000 on Montgomery and then made active plans for his 20-year-old nephew’s murder.

At the sentencing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Angie Danis said Norman was vastly different from his personality onscreen. “The measure of someone’s character is what they do when they think no one is watching. When he thought no one was watching, he planned the execution of his nephew and carried it out.”

James “Tim” Norman was convicted on three counts last September related to the death of his nephew, who was also on the show. Those charges included two federal murder-for-hire counts and one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, according to the Post-Dispatch.
The panel concluded that Norman hired two people to kill his nephew Andre Montgomery, who was 21, on March 14, 2016. They also found that Norman later tried to cash a $450,000 life-insurance policy taken out on his nephew months earlier.

Tim Norman, ‘Welcome To Sweet Pies’ Star, Found Guilty Of Murder-For-Hire Of Nephew Andre Montgomery
Welcome to Sweet Pies star Tim Norman has been found guilty of murder-for-hire, mail fraud and wire fraud by a jury.
Andre Montgomery, Norman’s 21-year-old nephew, was gunned down on March 14, 2016, in what the court concluded was a plot by the victim’s uncle to cash in on Montgomery’s life insurance policy.
The verdict took the jury three days and 17 hours to reach. Evidence against Norman included testimony from an exotic dancer he had allegedly hired to lure Montgomery, Terica Elis, and the shooter, Travell Anthony Hill.
Both Elis and Hill pled guilty to their role in the plot.
More damning, though, was the testimonies of Montgomery’s mother, Michelle Griggs, and FBI agent Chris Faber.
Griggs told the court that Norman had originally said that he wanted to mentor her son, “teach him how to be a man.”
She testified that Norman asked her for Montgomery’s birth certificate,...

Cynthia Nixon ran for New York Governor against incumbent Andrew Cuomo, shares a last name with an infamous President, and now, apparently, takes directing tips from a former First Lady.
The “Sex and the City” star made her directorial debut with the sixth episode of “And Just Like That,” and Nixon hilariously shared her go-to source of inspiration.
“We’re the anti-Nancy Reagan,” Nixon deadpanned during HBO Max’s documentary about the revival series. “Just say yes.”
Nixon admitted that it was “really hard” to step into the director’s chair.
“There were certain scenes that they really wanted a shot list from me early on before we had even rehearsed or anything,” Nixon said of the preparation in production.
Yet Nixon quickly found her footing thanks to a signature personality trait. “I’m a very decisive person and I think that’s a good thing in a director...

How did Tami Roman from Basketball Wives lose weight? The reality star has been super open about her struggle with her weight in the past, and she's even admitted that she used diet pills to help her shed 30 pounds. But now that she's rocking a new physique, she's also gotten a lot of backlash on social media. On almost every photo she shares on Instagram, there is always someone who feels the need to criticize Tami for her weight. "Too skinny, face sunken in," one fan commented on a recent pic, and another wrote, "Beautiful but [you're] a [little] too skinny... making [you] look alot older than [you] are." (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Basketball Wives fans watched Tami undergo a smart liposuction procedure on camera back in 2011, but a couple of years later — after she was diagnosed with diabetes and she quit smoking — she noticed the pounds were creeping back up. When she finally weighed herself,...
