Michael Allan Patton was born on January 27th 1968 in California. He formed the band Mr Bungle at the age of 15, and after Jim Martin (of Faith No More) heard Mr Bungle, Mike was asked to join Faith No More as a permanent full time vocalist. After a turbulent career which lasted until April 1998, Faith No More broke up and since then Mike has participated and created some of the most bizarre and creative musical works ever to exist, including his brainchild Fantomas.

Highly talented singer of Faith No More (1989 to 1998 when the band broke up), Mr Bungle, Fantomas, Maldoror, and a solo career (2 albums, Pranzo Oltranzista (1997) and Adult Themes For Voice (1996)). Has also worked with John Zorn, Sepultura and was a part of the "Weird Little Boy" project with Zorn and Bungle guitarist Trey Sprunace (who also joined Faith No More for the album "King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime" 1995).
Replaced Chuck Mosely as Faith No More's singer in 1989.
Co-founded and co-owns Ipecac Records.
Acted as Jimmy Stewart's "Scottie" role from the film "Vertigo" in the Faith No More video for "Last Cup Of Sorrow."
Has recorded songs in many languages, including Italian, Spanish, Portugese, and German among others.
Studied English at Humboldt State University - left school before his junior year to sing for the band Faith No More
