‘Schitt’s Creek’ Star Annie Murphy Gets Homicidal in Trailer for AMC’s Dark Dramedy ‘Kevin Can F–k Himself’
Emmy Award-winning “Schitt’s Creek” star Annie Murphy is a little less Alexis in her latest lead role for AMC and a little more generic sitcom wife gone off-script (and sanguinary). During its Television Critics’ Association Winter Press Tour, the network released a trailer for the genre-busting dark dramedy “Kevin Can F**k Himself,” premiering sometime this summer.

As evidenced in the trailer, the series breaks television conventions by probing the secret life of the sitcom housewife archetype and asking what the world would look like through her eyes when she snaps and takes the lead in her own life. Alternating between single-camera realism and multi-camera comedy, the formats will inform one another as we see Annie Murphy’s character (Allison) realize that what she really wants is to stop playing perfect and to start killing her husband.

Kevin Can F**k Himself” hails from ‘Parks and Recreation” regular and “Hot Girls Wanted” producer Rashida Jones,

Kevin Can F**k Himself Looks Absolutely F**king Incredible in New Trailer

Kevin Can F**k Himself Looks Absolutely F**king Incredible in New Trailer
Kevin Can F**k Himself is not playing around. AMC just released a new trailer for its upcoming dramedy, an ambitious genre-bending show that has been in the works since 2017—right around the time CBS' Kevin Can Wait killed off the wife character, played by Erinn Hayes. If you were hoping to see a sitcom wife get some cathartic revenge on her dopey sitcom husband, it looks like that's exactly what we're in for. Schitt's Creek alum Annie Murphy plays Allison, the long-suffering wife of Kevin (Eric Peterson). He's a man who only appears to exist in multi-cam sitcom land, where he jokes about her periods and demands drink refills. The trailer shows...

‘Kevin Can F**k Himself’ Trailer: Annie Murphy Realizes She Wasted Her Life on a Multi-Cam Sitcom (Video)

‘Kevin Can F**k Himself’ Trailer: Annie Murphy Realizes She Wasted Her Life on a Multi-Cam Sitcom (Video)
Annie Murphy is a disgruntled sitcom wife tired of being the butt of the joke in the first trailer for AMC’s forthcoming series “Kevin Can F**k Himself.”

The experimental series from creator Valerie Armstrong toggles between multi-cam comedy and single-camera drama to “imagine what happens when the sitcom wife escapes her confines and takes the lead in her own life,” per AMC’s description.

The title of the series is a nod to CBS’s now-canceled “Kevin Can Wait,” which unceremoniously killed off Erin Hayes’ character to give star Kevin James a new on-screen wife when the writers ran out of ideas. (Hayes was replaced by James’ former “King of Queens” co-star Leah Remini.)

In an interview with Vanity Fair on Thursday, Murphy expressed frustration at the “sexism and misogyny and racism and homophobia and bigotry” that gets overlooked in the fast-paced sitcom format.

Police Investigating Sexual Abuse Claims at Prestigious New England Boarding School
Two New England attorneys are saying they've been in touch with more than 40 alumni of an affluent Rhode Island boarding school that allege staff members or other pupils sexually assaulted them during the 1970s and 1980s. People spoke Wednesday with Eric MacLeish, one of the two lawyers behind a press conference held on Tuesday in which four graduates of the St. George's School in Middletown accused school officials of covering up years of systemic abuse. 'Corner Gas: The Movie' Sing-a-Long Booth to Star the Public

There will be plenty going on during the Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff), and the makers of "Corner Gas: The Movie" want to add to the fun by inviting the public to star in their flick.

The catch? You have to sing.

With Tiff in full swing, the people behind the big-screen adaptation of the Canadian television favourite will host a "Corner Gas Sing-a-Long Booth" at the intersection of Queen and John Streets, outside CTV's headquarters, from Sept. 4 to 13, said a Wednesday news release.

People will be invited to sing the show's theme song "Not a Lot Goin' On" karaoke-style, with the help of scrolling lyrics.

Singers' voices will then be mashed up and played over the end credits, while a number of people's videos will be shown in theatres, online and on a collectors' edition DVD.

The booth, which will look like the grain elevators you find on the Prairies,

'Kirstie' Season 1 finale: Are you hoping for a Season 2?

On paper, "Kirstie" sounded like a coup for TV Land: A Kirstie Alley comeback vehicle that was also a "Cheers" reunion with co-star Rhea Perlman, as well as the TV return of "Seinfeld" legend Michael Richards.

Unfortunately, much of the sitcom's first season was met with a critical "meh." All the comedic talent in the world can't make up for subpar material, it would seem. But where did you land on the series?

Did you enjoy watching Maddie (Alley) reconnect with her long-lost son Arlo (Eric Peterson) while maintaining her Broadway lifestyle? Did Perlman and Richards as her assistant and chauffeur, respectively, inspire hilarity in your household? Are you hoping for a Season 2?

Make your voice heard and vote in our poll below!

Should TV Land renew "Kirstie" for Season 2?

'Rookie Blue' Season 4, Episode 8: Noelle and Frank's wedding plans go 'For Better, For Worse'

Rarely do things run smoothly for the "Rookie Blue" cops -- even their own nuptials.

Noelle (Melanie Nicholls-King) and Frank's (Lyriq Bent) wedding wasn't exactly like clockwork in Thursday's (Aug. 8) episode of the ABC drama, "For Better, For Worse." Even with the ceremony taking place that evening, much remained in flux, prompting Andy (Missy Peregrym) to try to take the organizational lead.

Meanwhile, claiming she was getting "lying hives," Chloe (Priscilla Faia) begged Dov (Gregory Smith) to tell Frank -- her godfather and their boss -- about their off-duty relationship. It wouldn't be an easy day for Chloe in another way; she was partnered with angry-as-usual Gail (Charlotte Sullivan), whom Chloe had informed about the crush that Gail's now-ex-boyfriend Nick (Peter Mooney) had on Andy.

Andy and Nick also were partners for the day, with Andy starting it by crooning along to Extreme's "More Than Words" -- the tune she
