Everything Everywhere Directors Making Star Wars Isn't The Problem – Studios Are

Everything Everywhere Directors Making Star Wars Isn't The Problem – Studios Are
"Everything Everywhere All at Once" cleaned up at the 95th annual Academy Awards, taking home seven Oscars including the trophies for Best Picture and Best Director for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. So, what are Daniels (as the duo is collectively known) doing next? Why making a Star War, of course!

It's a common refrain in modern Hollywood: a promising director (or directing duo) scores a hit, then immediately gets snatched up by a studio to oversee one of their franchises. Hence, it's understandable people weren't exactly thrilled to learn Daniels are working on "Skeleton Crew," an upcoming live-action "Star Wars" streaming series that takes place concurrently with "The Mandalorian" and its spinoffs. Is this the minds who gave us Daniel Radcliffe: Farting Corpse and a universe where everyone has hotdog fingers leaving their days of being legitimately weird and innovative behind them? In a subsequent Instagram story post

(Before Eeaao even came out). We love Jon, we love Star Wars, we love learning new tech, we love meeting new cast and crew, and we needed the days to keep our healthcare (!!!) so it was an easy yes. We shot it last year and had an incredible time working with the most talented cast and crew and I’m excited for you all to see it.”

“Our next film will be an original daniels project so you can stop worrying (and stop bothering me about it),” he added.

Jason Isaacs’ Accent for ‘Harry Potter’ Caused Panic on Set Until Daniel Radcliffe Got Involved
Daniel Radcliffe’s popular Harry Potter series boasted many memorable antagonists. Jason Isaacs’ Lucious Malfoy was one such character. But Isaacs’ wizard might have sounded much different if it wasn’t for Radcliffe’s involvement.

Jason Isaacs was horrified by Lucius Malfoy’s original look for ‘Harry Potter’ Jason Isaacs | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic

Isaacs played the father of Tom Felton’s Draco Malfoy in the popular Harry Potter series. Like Draco, Lucius was portrayed as arrogant and privileged thanks to being a part of a powerful wizard family. But the characters’ iconic look in the film might have looked quite different if Isaacs didn’t speak up about his appearance.

“I went to the set, and they had this idea of me wearing a pinstripe suit, short black-and-white hair,” Isaacs once recalled to Entertainment Weekly. “I was slightly horrified. He was a racist, a eugenicist. There’s no way he

Daniel Radcliffe movies: 10 greatest films ranked worst to best

Daniel Radcliffe movies: 10 greatest films ranked worst to best
Since leaving the role of boy-wizard extraordinaire Harry Potter, a character that made him a household name, Daniel Radcliffe has played it anything but safe. Rather than going for a quick payday by attaching himself to another lucrative franchise, Radcliffe instead has sought out independent filmmakers, many making their feature debut, for the opportunity to play a wide variety of characters that would expand his range as an actor. And expand it they did, with Radcliffe in his post-“Potter” period portraying characters who range from a video game nerd to a literary giant, an evil billionaire, a South African hero and even a corpse. Try that, Meryl.

Radcliffe didn’t limit himself to films either, as he brought his fearlessness to Manhattan, triumphing in Broadway productions of Peter Shaffer’s “Equus,” Martin McDonagh’s “The Cripple of Inishmaan,” and the legendary musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,

What It Would Take To Make Ocean's 9, According to Sandra Bullock
As fans have been waiting for news of the Ocean's 8 sequel Ocean's 9, Sandra Bullock shared her thoughts on what was needed to make it happen. The film is part of the Ocean's 11 heist movie franchise, which began with the 1960 film about a group of criminals leading an epic heist in Las Vegas. That film was remade in 2001 by Steven Soderbergh with George Clooney as leader Danny Ocean and an ensemble that included Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts. That film wents on to be a huge success, spawning the sequels Ocean's Twelve in 2004 and Ocean's Thirteen in 2007.

In 2018, the franchise was rebooted yet again, with Sandra Bullock starring as Danny Ocean's sister, Debbie Ocean, leading an all-female heist to steal a $150 million necklace at the Met Gala. The film is in continuity with the Soderbergh trilogy, even featuring cameos from Elliott Gould as Reuben and Shaobo Qin as Yen.

Adventure has a name, and it's Rip Digman. Andy Samberg stars in the new Comedy Central animated series "Digman!" beginning on March 22 (watch the trailer here). The former "Saturday Night Live" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star lends his voice to a heroic Indiana Jones-esque archaeologist who was once the best in his field. Even the national news mocks Digman's shortcomings and fall from grace. Yes, in this world, the news is always reporting on archaeologists as if they're celebrities or superheroes, and they're always taking cheap shots at Digman.

Joined by an eager, bespectacled assistant named Saltine, and encouraged by his elderly, raspy-voiced receptionist Agatha (Dale Soules of "Orange is the New Black"), Digman tries to get his life
