Helen Stenborg was born on January 24, 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA as Helen Joan Stenborg. She was an actress, known for Enchanted (2007), Three Days of the Condor (1975) and Doubt (2008). She was married to Barnard Hughes. She died on March 22, 2011 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

Was nominated for Broadway's 2000 Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured Role - Play) for "Waiting in the Wings."
She had two children with her husband, Barnard: daughter, Laura Hughes, and son, Doug Hughes.
She performed with the USO in Europe during WWII. She met her future husband, actor Barnard Hughes, while appearing in a show for wounded veterans.
Long-standing member of New York's Circle Repertory Company.
Upon her death, her remains were interred at the Church of the Transfiguration in New York City.
She was a Swedish descent.
She died from cancer at her home in Manhattan (NYC).
