Zendaya has become one of the most interesting actresses of her generation and has already amassed an impressive filmography up to this point. From her early days as a Disney protege to starring in big movies in the MCU and Dune, she has also managed to diversify his work with character-driven drams like Euphoria, and Malcolm and Marie.

However, Zendaya poked fun at people’s fantasies after they saw that scene and revealed how the film played with the audience’s expectations.

Christian Bale is known for his insane transformations and some of the most critically acclaimed roles in Hollywood. The 50-year-old Oscar winner has worked with some of the greatest directors and delivered some critically and commercially successful flicks. However, he also has a fair share of flop films in his career. Interestingly, many of these projects even came after his highly successful, The Dark Knight Trilogy.

His incredible performance as the Caped Crusader in Nolan’s gritty world elevated the trilogy’s quality and made Bale a household name. He may not have walked away with an Oscar this year, but Jeffrey Wright is hot off the acclaim of his Academy Award-nominated film American Fiction and has been reported by Deadline to be joining Denzel Washington for Spike Lee’s upcoming remake of the Akira Kurosawa film High and Low. The remake of the 1963 crime thriller will come from a joint production from Apple and A24 Films. It is not yet announced what role in the film that Wright will be portraying as of yet.
In addition to American Fiction, Wright also starred in the Oscar-nominated film Rustin for Netflix. Jonathan Majors first appeared in the MCU as Victor Timely in 2021, followed by his role as Kang the Conqueror in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ in 2023, marking the beginning of Phase 5, also known as the Multiverse Saga. However, ‘Quantumania’ didn’t fare well, and shortly after its release, Majors faced legal troubles. Although his lawyers swiftly disproved the allegations, Majors was eventually convicted of third-degree assault and harassment, leading to his dismissal by Disney.
Since Majors’ departure, speculation has been rife about the fate of Kang in the MCU. ‘Avengers: Kang Dynasty’ is now being dubbed as ‘Avengers 5’. Two prevailing theories emerge: either Majors will be replaced, with John David Washington and Colman Domingo among the potential successors, or the villain will be substituted altogether. Fans have been clamoring for the introduction of characters like Doctor Doom as the primary antagonist for the upcoming phases.

Jonathan Majors debuted in the MCU as Victor Timely back in 2021, and then as Kang the Conqueror in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ in 2023 in what was the first movie of Phase 5, also known as the beginning of the Multiverse Saga. ‘Quantumania’ wasn’t exactly successful, adding insult to injury, soon after the release of the blockbuster movie, the actor behind the villain who was supposed to mark the next few phases of the MCU was arrested. Even though Majors’ lawyers quickly provided evidence that such a thing never took place, the case was far from over, and Majors was eventually found guilty of third-degree assault and harassment and fired by Disney.

Christopher Nolan seems primed for the sort of coronation the Oscars bestow now and again — his film “Oppenheimer’s” sweep of precursor awards has had a sort of lumbering majesty to it, a sense that the grandest spectacle of the year is about to get a commensurate celebration from the Dolby Theatre stage.
There’s a pleasing symmetry to the idea: “Oppenheimer” is not a sentimental favorite from the “Coda” school, or a sweltering, messy emotional high-wire act like “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” It’s a coolly logical piece of work, and it represents the year’s logical choice. It was a drama for adults that made nearly a billion dollars globally, an achievement that’s worth celebrating in part because so few directors get the chance; its ambition is written across every frame. After a series of misses — “Inception” and “Dunkirk” nominated for Best Picture but settling for undercard wins,...

We have seen time and time again just how exceptional a filmmaker Christopher Nolan is when any project that he’s associated with goes on to receive some of the most pristine critical reception seen in years. But other than several behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, we have never seen him making the most of his time in front of the camera.
Tom Hardy and Christopher Nolan on the sets of The Dark Knight Rises
But it seems like lately, the prolific director has started to open up a bit when he is being shot through the lens of a device, which recently saw him trying his hands at some comical quips with fellow filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. In a recent video, we could see Nolan try to crack a simple joke while announcing the re-release of his film Tenet, which despite being very simple, has managed to crack up the fans.

Up on Variety a few months ago, there was an interesting interview with the German distributor of the Expendables and John Wick movies. Fred Kogel, who runs Leonine Studios, noted that all the top action heroes now, Keanu Reeves, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, and Harrison Ford, are the same ones we had in the eighties and nineties. But with Stallone and Ford in their late seventies, who will be the new action stars when the icons are done with the genre? For his part, Kogel doesn’t believe distributors and studios have done enough to build up a new crop of action heroes, noting that for the older stars, there was “a great deal of identification with the type of the actor, with the physicality of the actor so that you could relate to that.” With CGI-laden superhero movies, Kogel believes that kind of identification is gone. “I think it...

After traveling to dozens of exotic locations around the world to film New Regency’s and 20th Century Studios’ The Creator, director Gareth Edwards made one last trek that was among his most consequential: to Industrial Light & Magic in Northern California. There, he showed a rough cut of the film to the VFX pros who would be tasked with helping him make his $80 million film look like it cost $200 million, turning human actors into robots — no uncanny valley allowed — and creating futuristic cities and secret labs by augmenting real-life locations with visual effects.
Many of the key moments onscreen were filled with temporary text such as “epic Nomad shot,” a reference to the killer space station at the center of the film concerning a war between humans and artificial intelligence.

Tenet is a 2020 science fiction movie helmed by Christopher Nolan starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, Elizabeth Debicki, and Kenneth Branagh. The director spent five years perfecting the script of the film because of its tricky and complicated idea.
Tenet (2020)
One of the movie’s notable features is the concept alluding to the laws of physics. It rapidly gained a cult following of science fiction enthusiasts because of its exploration of the subjects of time travel and entropy. You get the feeling from talking to four of the Oscar-nominated members from the sound team of the sci-fi action thriller “The Creator” – supervising sound editor/sound designers Erik Aadahl and Ethan Van der Ryn, sound mixer Ian Voigt and rerecording mixer Tom Ozanich – that they have never been through anything quite like the adventure they just experienced providing the sonics for this feature. It was shot on location in many countries throughout Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos, the director Gareth Edwards eschewing backlot and green screen while recreating the vibe of a small indie production. “We shot it guerilla style, but then fuse all of this technology into what looks and sounds like a $300 million movie but isn’t,” stresses Aadahl.

Christopher Nolan was presented with his BFI Fellowship last night (Feb 14) at the Rosewood London by his Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy, who introduced the director he has worked with on six films as “the most important bromance of my career” and “one of the greatest directors in the world”.
The visibly moved filmmaker paid tribute to his wife and long-time producer Emma Thomas in front of a packed industry audience.
“I was asked if in all of those years fighting to shoot on film, did you ever feel alone doing that?” said Nolan. “I was able to say I did...

“Till” star Danielle Deadwyler and “Black Adam” director Jaume Collet-Serra are teaming up for “The Woman in the Yard,” a thriller from Blumhouse and Universal Pictures.
Sam Stefanak wrote the screenplay for “The Woman in the Yard,” though the film’s logline hasn’t been disclosed. It’s scheduled to be released in theaters on Jan. 10, 2025.
Blumhouse founder Jason Blum said he’s been trying to find the right project to work on with Collet-Serra for “over a decade.”
“’The Woman in the Yard’ is the perfect match, a film that’s ambitious in scope but modest in budget that combines Jaume’s vision with the incomparable Danielle Deadwyler,” Blum said in a statement.

I think the film critics of the 2000s and 2010s misdiagnosed what kind of filmmaker Christopher Nolan is.
Back in 2010, in the wake of "Inception," The Guardian asked, "Is Christopher Nolan the new Stanley Kubrick?" The director of "2001," "The Shining," and more, Kubrick's masterpieces are the work of a cynical perfectionist. Nolan has been accused of being cold — it doesn't help he's a British gentleman (England was the Manhattan-born Kubrick's adopted homeland) — and his films' layer cake story structures might feel akin to the ambiguity of Kubrick. Nolan admits he is a fan of Kubrick ("Interstellar" does not exist in the world where Nolan isn't inspired by "2001" as a child). Still, to me at least, it's clear that Nolan is more like Steven Spielberg — a populist auteur.
Nolan makes movies that play for a crowd. That's what "The Prestige" is all about, using Victorian-era stage magic as an allegory...

Christopher Nolan delighted cinephiles a few years ago when he revealed that he’s a big fan of the “Fast & Furious” franchise. The director said on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast at the time that he’s “got a very soft spot” for “Tokyo Drift” and praised Justin Lin’s entries in the franchise “as they got crazier and bigger and crazier and bigger and became something else, but something else kinda fun.”
While appearing this week on “The Late Show,” host Stephen Colbert asked Nolan about his enduring love for “Fast & Furious” and admitted that he had never seen any of the movies in the long-running franchise, much to the shock of Nolan.
“I have no guilt about being a fan of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise,” Nolan proudly stated. “A tremendous action franchise … You’ve never seen any of them? I watch those movies all the time.

Netflix kicked off February with news of the streaming service’s 2024 film slate.
The steamer, which landed 18 Oscar nominations this year – including seven for Bradley Cooper’s “Maestro” – will debut numerous populist films in 2024, including new projects from Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry, Jenifer Lopez, Millie Bobby Brown, Eddie Murphy, and more.
Well-known directors with movies set to premiere on Netflix this year include Tyler Perry (two titles), McG, Richard Linklater, and Lee Daniels. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld will also make his directorial debut with “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story.”
On the awards front, while it’s too early to tell which projects might pop – and what movies Netflix might acquire for release this year, similarly to how the studio purchased Todd Haynes’ “May December” at the Cannes Film Festival last year – titles to flag include “The Piano Lesson” from Malcolm Washington with Samuel L. Christopher Nolan has built his name up over the years to the point that he’s widley considered the greatest director or our generation. His latest film, Oppenheimer, seems bound to finally win him an elusive best director Oscar. But, in the wild build up to his latest movie, many failed to consider his last movie, Tenet, which was unusually divisive for the director. With it set for a nationwide re-release next month, now’s a good time to look back on a movie that’s winning more and more fans every year.
Tenet was born from a simple idea that came to him while making his breakout hit Memento over 20 years ago. While putting that film together, he thought of a single image that helped him crack the way in which to tell a backwards story. The image was that of a bullet being sucked out of a wall.

MCU’s Multiverse Saga was set to introduce Kang the Conqueror as the new primary antagonist, succeeding Thanos, who was widely considered the most iconic comic-inspired live-action villain (at least in my humble opinion). However, ‘Quantumania,’ where Jonathan Majors debuted as Kang, faced disappointment due to the film’s underwhelming performance and a narrative that failed to deliver the anticipated excitement for the beginning of a new era in the superhero world.
Shortly after the release of ‘Quantumania,’ Majors found himself facing serious charges, alleging that he had assaulted the victim by striking her face with an open hand, resulting in substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear. Despite his legal team presenting evidence to counter these claims, the case lingered. Disney, cautious after the Johnny Depp case, took time to evaluate their stance on Jonathan Majors.

The start of the Multiverse Saga was supposed to usher in a new villain, Kang the Conqueror replacing Thanos, who was generally regarded as the most iconic comic-inspired live-action villain of all time (according to my humble opinion at least). Kang, or at least one variant of Kang debuted in ‘Quantumania’ and fans loved Majors as Kang well enough, it’s the movie that flopped and the story that felt somewhat flat and unexciting considering that it’s supposed to usher in a new era, and set the foundation for the next biggest scare of the superhero world. Then, following the release of ‘Quantumania’ Majors was arrested on pretty serious charges.
According to the charges, Majors allegedly struck the alleged victim ‘about the face with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear.’ And while his lawyers quickly provided evidence that such a thing never took place,...

Martin Scorsese Disappointed Over Leonardo DiCaprio Failed To Get Nominated For His Killers Of The Flower Moon Role (Picture Credit: Facebook & IMDb)
Killers of the Flower Moon director Martin Scorsese is an illustrated filmmaker who has given the world some fantastic movies over the years. He also made a new record after his 10th Oscar nomination this year. However, he is a little disappointed that his lead star, Leonardo DiCaprio, was not nominated in the Best Actor Lead category. Lily Gladstone became the first Native American from the United States to get selected for the Best Actress Category at the 2024 Oscars.
Director William Wyler is the only filmmaker with 12 nominations. However, he passed away in 1981 at the age of 79. Scorsese was nominated in the Best Director category for movies like Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Gangs of New York, The Last Temptation, and more. He won the prestigious award for The Departed.

¡niaga ti ecneirepxE! Warner Bros has announced that they are re-releasing Christopher Nolan's Tenet again in 2024, for one week only this February. Most of you will remember how hard they tried to turn this into a hit in late 2020 right at the start of the pandemic, but it didn't do so well at the box office back then. Time to try again. Tenet is a sci-fi action movie on a global scale, involving time travel and espionage. The gimmick involves a device that can reverse time, which powerful people want to manipulate for their gain. John David Washington stars with Robert Pattinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia, Yuri Kolokolnikov, and of course Michael Caine. I wish this movie was better - even though I saw it a few times, it's one of my least favorite Nolan creations. Tenet will play again in 70mm and in IMAX starting February 23rd,...

With all the attention brought on Christopher Nolan with his first post-Warner Bros. film, Oppenheimer, the studio with the famous shield has been itching to reconnect with the auteur. Nolan, himself, says his issues with Warners is “water under the bridge” and it looks as if they’re going to try for a second take at getting audiences to see Tenet in theaters. The John David Washington time-bending vehicle was originally released in the thick of the pandemic and made an effort to make movies a safe place to go again after having closed down. However, Warner Bros. had also put into affect a temporary release plan that made Tenet available on HBO Max as the movie still played in theaters. This was not the ideal release for Nolan who made sure he filmed for the biggest screens possible with IMAX. Warner Bros. has now announced that for one week only,...

Before Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two takes over IMAX screens––and well-timed with the awards run for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer––Warner Bros. is re-releasing Tenet in 70mm and IMAX screens for one week only. Considering WB initially unveiled the film in 2020 during the throes of the pandemic, we imagine many didn’t get a chance to see it in this format, though it still made over $360 million worldwide. Now set for a Feb. 23 week-long release, they’ve now released a new trailer and poster to celebrate.
Hanna Flint said in her review, “No line in recent cinematic history has felt more fourth-wall-breaking than the one uttered by Clémence Poésy’s character in the first act of Tenet. “Don’t try to understand it,” her scientist character tells John David Washington’s Protagonist as he comes to grips with a new type of radioactive weapon. “Feel it.” It’s...

Sometimes, the best romances are actually bromances. Every now and then, the best stories are actually the ones that you spend the entire runtime struggling to make any sense of whatsoever.
