BET+ has unwrapped its Christmas movie schedule for 2024!

This year, eight new original movies will debut on the streaming service featuring stars such as Romeo Miller, Jasmine Guy, Valarie Pettiford, Jennifer Freeman, and more. The celebration begins on Nov. 7 and continues through Dec. 25, with new movies releasing weekly on Thursdays.

All six seasons of the beloved sitcom have quietly surfaced on the ad-supported Roku Channel, which is accessible via the Roku app and TheRokuChannel.com — free of charge.

BET’s streaming platform BET+ has unveiled 12 new projects marking the holiday season this year. The releases will be a mix of films spanning musical dramas and romantic comedies, and TV specials, including a standalone holiday episode of the streamer’s popular sitcom The Ms. Pat Show directed by Debbie Allen.

Allen is among a dynamic roster of Black writers, directors and actors who were brought on to create this year’s slate, including Jasmine Guy who stars in the family drama A Wesley Christmas Wedding and Vivica A. Fox who appears in the suspense thriller Sworn Justice: Taken Before Christmas. Additionally, Robin Givens wrote, executive produced and stars in the rom-com Christmas Rescue and directed the faith-based drama Favorite Son Christmas. Tami Roman is also executive producer of the romance drama Whatever It Takes, which she stars in, in addition to So Fly Christmas and The Ms. Pat Show holiday episode “Father Christmas.

Exclusive: Marc John Jefferies, Omar Gooding, Dorien Wilson and Gerard Cordero have signed on to star in a scripted series from Donnell Henry.

They are set to star in Demonico, which is in development at Seal of the Gods Films (Content is King). Franky G (Power) and Javon Johnson (The Oval) have also joined the cast.

Demonico is set in the high-stakes world of hitmen and follows Nicholas Demonico, a hitman is double crossed and left for dead by his employers who comes back to wreak vengeance on them, with the help of his 12-year-old daughter.

Jefferies and Cordero (Ray Donovan) Are set for lead roles, with Wilson playing a kingpin and Gooding playing an FBI agent.

Demonico marks a first TV series project for Seal of the Gods founder Henry. Breece Wilson (Brown Sugar) is the executive producer.

BET+ has an exciting holiday slate.

The streaming service announced Monday it would launch 10 new movies, including family comedies, yuletide romances, and a little musical magic.

The flicks feature Jasmine Guy, Terrence Carson, and Dorien Wilson, Ne-Yo, Serayah, Romeo Miller, LeToya Luckett, and Lala Milan.

After debuting eight new original holiday movies in 2021, BET+ is getting even more into the seasonal spirit this year with 10 more titles rolling out beginning Nov. 3, Variety has learned exclusively.

The 2022 slate features films starring Ne-Yo, Sereyah, Romeo Miller, LeToya Luckett and Lala Milan, as well as returning BET+ holiday movie staples like Jasmine Guy, Terrence Carson and Dorien Wilson. In Lola Blanc’s psychological horror film, which is currently in production in the Los Angeles area, a far-right political commentator Sami Geller (Brewer) discovers that her rhetoric has inspired a mass shooting. She must then contend with the part of herself that has a conscience.

Blanc is directing from the script she wrote with Jeremy Radin, with Nick Paskhover and Chris Beyrooty producing. David Lawson, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will also produce under their Rustic Films banner, with Brewer, Deric A. Hughes and Elia Petridis serving as EPs. Netflix’s latest acquisition spree includes a splash of sibling synchronicity.

The streaming service on Wednesday announced that that it has acquired the rights to seven classic Black sitcoms, including ’90s hits Sister, Sister and Moesha. Additional titles include Girlfriends, Half & Half, The Parkers, One and One and the first three seasons of The Game.

Vanishing Angle, the production studio behind the Sundance film Greener Grass, has upped three of its own to executive positions: Natalie Metzger as VP of Development & Production, Benjamin Wiessner as VP of Sales & Acquisitions, and Jim Cummings as VP of Creative Initiatives. This year’s American Black Film Festival lineup is stacked with some of the top names in Hollywood as well as emerging voices including a screening of Reginald Hudlin’s The Black Godfather, a conversation with Spike Lee and his protege Stefon Bristol as well as the five finalists for HBO Short Film Competition, which is now in its 22nd year. The fest takes place June 12-16 in Miami.

The program will also include the previously announced opening night film Shaft. New Line Cinema’s reboot of the iconic character will screen at the fest ahead of its June 14 release. The Bernie Mac Show's Kalita Smith joins the sitcom in season two, which premieres in July. The series was quietly renewed for a second season some time ago and those episodes have been shot and are currently being edited.

In The Cut was created by Bentley Kyle Evans who produces with Trenten Gumbs, both of whom are having a pretty good day. The duo produces Family Time, which was also renewed, today. A former "Sister, Sister" star is learning the hard way ... some things shouldn't come in pairs -- Dorien Wilson just got nailed for a second DUI. Law enforcement sources tell us Wilson was driving in Los Angeles back in February when he was pulled over and booked for DUI. Wilson, who played Terrence Winningham on the show, was in court Friday and pled no contest to the charge.  He was sentenced to 4 days in jail and 4 years probation.
