At the time of this writing, I’ve viewed only the first episode of Arrow‘s eighth season. In addition to having kind things to say about it, my theory of Oliver Queen journeying the multiverse at the behest of the Monitor has been proven true. Still, it appears as though not each installment will take place in parallel universes.
Take episode 8×04, “Present Tense,” for instance. Based on what we’ve been permitted to see concerning that one, Ollie will fight alongside the usual members of Team Arrow for what may or may not be a standard mission. I say that because, believe it or not, a new Deathstroke is in town.
Before you get ahead of yourself by saying John Diggle Jr. is being discussed, I must stress how we’re talking about a Deathstroke other than Slade Wilson running around present-day Star City. And though this masked mercenary...

From where I’m sitting, it’s raining Deathstrokes.
Years after Arrow introduced its own version of Slade Wilson played by Manu Bennett, DC Universe’s Titans now has their own spilling blood, with Esai Morales donning the dichotomous mask. Even with that arc currently unfolding, Arrow has created a Deathstroke of tomorrow in the form of John Diggle Jr. (Charlie Barnett).
Believe it or not though, yet another may soon be added to the tally, as the official synopsis for episode 8×04, “Present Tense,” promises that a new evildoer taking up the mantle will arrive in Star City, reading:

If you tuned in for the most recent episode of The Flash, then not only did you learn of the Negative Speed Force concept, but you also saw it utilized by Nora West-Allen. Not long after Eobard Thawne revealed its secrets to her, he came to regret his decision to do so because that very energy has now seemingly corrupted the young woman known as Xs.
Whether this development leads to Nora only temporarily going over to the dark side or ultimately sees her emerge as the Reverse-Flash’s successor remains to be seen, though my gut has me leaning toward the former option. Still, you never know what kind of surprises the producers have in store.
For now, though, she’s going to be a bad girl of sorts, as the Scarlet Speedster’s own daughter will be teaming up with the likes of Rag Doll, Weather Witch and...

When it was initially announced that Arrow would be hanging up its quiver following its eighth season, we all assumed that the major players would be around for the final episodes. Instead, we recently learned that fan favorite stalwart Emily Bett Rickards will make her own exit before season 7 has concluded. But if Smallville survived its final three years without Michael Rosenbaum or Kristin Kreuk as part of the principal cast (though both returned for some guest appearances), then so, too, can Arrow get through ten more episodes this fall.
Understandably, it’d be hard for anyone who’s played the same character for so long to walk away from their gig. Furthermore, it’s got to be difficult for their colleagues to swallow that pill, as series lead Stephen Amell and the show’s very producers have already expressed their gratitude.
This time, it’s Rickards herself taking to...

Arrow fans might be feeling pretty glum of late due to the news that the show is set to end after its shortened eighth season this fall. However, there’s still plenty of highlights to look forward to before the Emerald Archer fires his last arrow.
First of all, we have an awesome all-female team-up episode to enjoy next week, which features the return of a fan favorite character. Season 7’s eighteenth episode is titled “Lost Canary” and will see Laurel Lance/Black Siren (Katie Cassidy Rodgers) join forces with not only Dinah Drake/Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy) but also guest star Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz), taking a break from Legends of Tomorrow‘s Waverider to return to her hometown of Star City.

Now that Arrow has (nearly) seven seasons under its belt, I think it’s fair to say the character of Oliver Queen sure has gone through a lot of hell. But in the process, he’s made great friends, found love, and has even begun building a family of his own. Perhaps it’s these simple rewards that have prevented him from becoming the evil he fights.
Of course, one could say that the cast and crew are a family in their own right because everybody involved in the production becomes rather tightly knit after working closely together for so long. As such, they get opportunities to enjoy themselves when cameras aren’t rolling.
Serving up some evidence of this is unofficial Arrowverse ambassador Stephen Amell, this time taking to Facebook to share a picture of the Queen family. And by that, we don’t mean he’s unearthed an old photo with Moira,...

If learning that the series will end following its eighth season weren’t enough, Arrow fans also had reason to get misty-eyed this past weekend when reading that Emily Bett Rickards will make her exit well before then. But if “Olicity” shippers are to make off with any sort of consolation prize, it’s that they finally got their baby.
What’s kind of funny is that we saw said baby before she actually had a chance to be born in a chronological sense. Those who’ve been keeping up with the show have been aware of how a certain gal named Mia had been given ample screentime during the flash forward segments. And as it turns out, she’s actually the offspring of Oliver and Felicity.

Aside from Oliver Queen himself, one could argue that if any recurring character on Arrow has endured the most personal growth in recent memory, it’s that of Earth-2’s Laurel Lance. Since coming over from the universe next door a few seasons back, she fought at the side of Ricardo Diaz before turning on him and beginning her own path to redemption. As Star City’s District Attorney, she was instrumental in getting Ollie freed from prison.
Unfortunately, all of her hard work has been jeopardized now that Emiko Queen has leaked photos confirming her past association with Diaz to the press. As a result, her days as a public servant are now likely over, and the official synopsis for “Lost Canary” confirms her going off the deep end:

As thrilling and intriguing as the current season of Arrow has proven to be, I must admit I really miss seeing the Emerald Archer and his cohorts fighting alongside each other on the streets of Star City – and in costume, to be more specific. And though we may be taking baby steps getting there, it looks as though a major stride may be witnessed during next week’s episode.
I say that because the promotional images released ahead of “Due Process” not only show the likes of John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Dinah Drake, Rene Ramirez, Curtis Holt and even Earth-2’s Laurel Lance all under the same roof, but they’re also apparently working in unison. Suffice it to say, this is some exciting stuff, even if they aren’t suited up.
If I were to hazard a guess, this meeting of the minds has something to do with Felicity’s lead on Diaz.

In my view, Arrow‘s seventh season aired its best and most exciting episode yet earlier this evening. I mean, not only was it intriguing and delivered some cool fight scenes, but this installment revealed the mysterious “Demon” to be Talia al Ghul in very short order.
Of course, one could say this was an obvious solution, though you can never be too sure. After all, we hadn’t seen anything from the master assassin since Lian Yu went up in flames at the end of season 5. But after hearing how she survived and ran afoul of someone in Gotham (probably Batwoman), Ms. al Ghul ended up taking up residence in the same prison as Oliver Queen.
Difficult as it had to have been, Ollie did help his former mentor escape from Slabside so that she may get vital information to Felicity, yet he opted to stay behind and not become a fugitive.

To say Earth-2’s Laurel Lance is a complicated woman is an understatement. Having originally debuted during The Flash‘s second season, she naturally made her way over to Arrow during the following year, where she was responsible for giving Oliver Queen and company one headache after another.
But after allying herself with big bads like Prometheus and Ricardo Diaz, Black Siren eventually found redemption through her not-dad, Quentin Lance, and has pretty much reformed following his death. These days, she’s doing her best to live on the straight and narrow as Star City’s District Attorney.
Thankfully, the new Laurel in town will put her legal skills to good use in a couple of weeks when she seemingly does her best to get Ollie out of prison. At least, that’s the impression we’re being given by the official synopsis for “Due Process,” which we have right...

Seeing as how it’s a time traveling show, you could say that no character is off limits for Legends of Tomorrow. Obviously, this extends to the dead, so we’ll just refer you to a guy named Captain Cold if you’re in need of a reminder.
Of course, one would assume that the Amaya Jiwe iteration of Vixen would still be on the table, but bringing her back at this point would contradict her recently concluded character arc. If you’ll recall, she returned to her native period in order to live out her life and assure that her successor and granddaughter, Mari McCabe, comes into existence.
Still, the producers aren’t ready to let actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers go, as she’ll play a new character named Charlie in season 4. In fact, you can see her first outing in the gallery circulating in advance of next week’s episode,...

Now that DC TV is back in full swing, we continue looking ahead at what each series has to offer for the remainder of the season. Whether it’s the introduction of a possibly new Black Canary on Arrow or knowing Kevin Smith will return this spring to direct another episode of Supergirl, there’s much to be excited about.
When it comes to the week Valentine’s Day occupies, it looks like there won’t be as much new material to look forward to. As it turns out, both The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will be taking the week off, which is actually a smart move by the network when you consider that said shows would have been slated to air on Valentine’s Day itself and many potential viewers may have romantic plans of their own.
